RGB Mini LED is the technology most talked about this year – and Hisense offers it even in a giant diagonal. The 75UR9S model now costs 43,992 Kč with code ALZADNY20 instead of 54,990 Kč. It’s a new release this year with backlighting that works differently from all previous TVs, and with a 190-centimeter diagonal.

What is RGB Mini LED and why it matters

Classic Mini LED backlighting uses white diodes, and color is only created by a filter in front of the panel – part of the light is lost, and colors are not as accurate. RGB Mini LED takes a different approach: the backlighting consists of separate red, green, and blue diodes that create color directly at the source. The result is more faithful color reproduction and higher contrast, as nothing is lost in the filters.

In practice, this means the TV can transform 3,500 nits of brightness into more vibrant colors, not just greater luminosity. Together with an anti-reflective surface, this is a combination that stands up even in a sunlit living room – and on seventy-five inches, where the screen area is enormous, the difference in brightness is even more pronounced than on smaller models. It features Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and HLG, as well as local dimming for deeper blacks.

Gamers will find three HDMI 2.1 ports here, a 120 Hz panel and 170 Hz in gaming mode, a value that few TVs offer today. Additionally, VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and Ideal for PlayStation 5 certification. Sound is handled by a built-in subwoofer with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and there’s also a USB-C port, which is still not a given on TVs.

Practical considerations often underestimated for large TVs

First, the most important thing: for a 75-inch TV, measure your wall and the distance from your couch in advance. The recommended viewing distance is approximately three meters or more – in a small living room, you would be watching individual parts of the picture instead of the film. Also, keep in mind that you won’t be able to carry such a large package by yourself; Alza offers delivery and professional wall mounting for large TVs.

Among the technical details, the 8-bit color depth is worth mentioning, which is a bit surprising for a TV with such advanced backlighting and will affect the smoothness of color gradients. Among voice assistants, the UR9S series supports only Amazon Alexa, so Google Home owners are out of luck. And bright backlighting takes its toll on power consumption – for such a large panel, this will be noticeably reflected in the electricity bill.

A nice detail is the solar-powered remote control, which charges with ordinary room light – you’ll never have to buy batteries for it again.
