One of these is the so-called hot pot, where a group of people sit around a table and cook pieces of meat, vegetables, and noodles directly in front of them in a pot of hot broth. Xiaomi is targeting this trend precisely with its new product in our distribution — Multifunctional Hot Pot Cooker 6L. We had the opportunity to try it out, and in this article, we’ll tell you everything it can do.

Square Pot for the Whole Family

The first thing you’ll notice about this pot is its shape. Instead of the classic round design, Xiaomi opted for a square construction, which is more practical for communal dining — more people can access it around the table at once, and ingredients are easier to arrange.

The six-liter capacity is sufficient for 4 to 6 diners, making it a sensible family appliance. The non-stick surface is resistant to high temperatures, and the inner pot can be removed from the base and placed in the sink.

Six Power Levels, Butterfly Heating Element

At the heart of the pot is a butterfly-shaped heating element located at the bottom, designed to ensure even heat distribution. The 2,000 W power input is no joke, and Xiaomi promises it can bring two liters of water to a boil in less than 8 minutes. In practice, this holds true; it’s ideal for a quick soup after work.

Six power levels cover various cooking scenarios. Level 1 keeps the temperature warm after cooking, levels 2 and 3 are for broths, level 4 for slow simmering, level 5 for thorough cooking, and level 6 for rapid boiling. The NTC sensor continuously monitors the temperature, so there’s no risk of everything sticking to the bottom if you briefly step away from the stove. For Asian cuisine enthusiasts, there are also six preset hot pot programs and a timer with an audible signal to alert you when it’s done. A nice little detail is the smart memory, which remembers your favorite settings.

Safety Details That Please

During testing, we appreciated several practical features that make the pot a safe helper even in a busy family kitchen. The heat-insulated handle doesn’t burn even during long cooking, non-slip pads keep the pot in place, and the tempered glass lid allows you to monitor what’s happening inside without having to lift it. We really like the 1.4-meter long power cable — perhaps a small detail, but you’ll appreciate it if your outlet is in an inconvenient spot. The pot also features boil-dry protection, so if you accidentally turn it on without water, it won’t be damaged.
