Leak: New multiplayer Witcher reportedly coming to mobile. You'll play as your own character Home News CD Projekt RED is reportedly preparing a brand new multiplayer game from The Witcher universe In addition to PCs, it is also expected to come to mobile phones It should be released as free-to-play, meaning free to download Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 17. 6. 2026 06:30 Advertisement CD Projekt RED studio apparently has another ace up its sleeve. The multiplayer Witcher is reportedly being developed as a free-to-play action RPG for both PCs and mobiles – and what’s particularly interesting is that you won’t be playing as the famous Geralt, but as your own monster hunter. This is an unofficial leak for now, so take the following lines with a grain of salt. What we know about the multiplayer Witcher so far The information was first reported by MP1st, according to which CD Projekt RED is working on an officially unnamed game. It is reportedly a cooperative action RPG, where you will team up with other players and collectively complete monster contracts – exactly what you’d expect from the Witcher profession, but now in a party and online. The biggest change from the main series is said to be the hero. Instead of Geralt of Rivia, you will create your own Witcher; the leak mentions common options such as choosing gender and character appearance. Combat is expected to be based on abilities from various Witcher schools, allowing you to assemble your own build; signs and potions are also reportedly included. According to the leak, the game should be released as free-to-play, meaning free to download, and in addition to PCs, it will also come to mobile phones. Consoles are not yet in the plans, at least not at launch. How monetization will look – usually through microtransactions for free games – is not yet clear. Who is making the game and when might it be released? The leak does not state the development studio with certainty. MP1st speculates about Scopely, with whom CD Projekt RED previously announced a collaboration on an unnamed game from The Witcher or Cyberpunk universe. However, this is not confirmed. Forget about a specific date for now. CD Projekt RED itself has indicated that the partnership project with Scopely, according to the Polish company, “is definitely not a matter for 2026.” It’s not The Witcher 4 nor Sirius To make the confusion complete: this multiplayer game is something different from Project Sirius, another Witcher spin-off that is said to offer a solo mode and is aimed more at consoles. And definitely don’t confuse it with the full-fledged Witcher 4, whose first footage CD Projekt has already shown. By the way, the studio has repeatedly tried The Witcher on mobile and in multiplayer. Remember the MOBA game The Witcher Battle Arena from 2015, the collectible Monster Slayer (released 2021, ended two years later), and the card game Gwent. Success is far from guaranteed. Would you play The Witcher online on mobile, or do you prefer a classic single-player masterpiece?
