Motorola wants to compete with iPhone Duo. We know everything the alleged Razr Flex will offer Home News Motorola Razr Flex is expected to be the brand's first wide foldable The leak promises a 6.92″ internal display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and a 5,000 mAh battery Folded, it will be thicker than Galaxy Z Fold8, iPhone Duo, and Xiaomi 18 Fold Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 3. 10. 2026 04:30 Advertisement Wide book-style foldables, whose outer display has the proportions of a smaller phone and can be comfortably typed on, have become a hit this year. Samsung sells Galaxy Z Fold8, Xiaomi introduced the 18 Fold, and Apple entered the game with the iPhone Duo. Motorola is now also targeting the same category – Android Headlines server obtained the complete specifications of its first wide foldable phone. Internally, it bears the name Motorola Razr Flex and could appear in stores as early as mid-December. Motorola Razr Flex will get a cheaper processor According to information obtained by Android Headlines, the phone, in addition to its internal name, also carries the codename Parker. Motorola itself confirmed the existence of the device on the day the iPhone Duo was introduced, but only showed its silhouette. What commercial name it will eventually be sold under is not yet clear. It is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with a clock speed of up to 3.8 GHz, the same chip that powers the book-style Razr Fold. It will be complemented by 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage without expansion options. No other memory variant appeared in the leak, which is unusual for a phone in this class, so further configurations cannot be ruled out. Although the table in the original article mentions a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the clock speed and comparison with the Razr Fold rather point to a weaker chip without the Elite designation. The timing is also peculiar. Qualcomm already introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 in September, so Motorola will opt for a last year’s processor from a lower flagship series at the end of the year. According to Android Headlines, this is likely due to the price – an older chip gives the manufacturer more room to price the phone more favorably. Displays and Cameras The internal OLED display will have a diagonal of 6.92 inches, a resolution of 2364 × 1728 pixels, and an adaptive refresh rate of 1–165 Hz with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. Outside, a 4.97-inch OLED with a resolution of 1736 × 1140 pixels awaits. The unfolded Razr Flex will thus be smaller than the competition – the Xiaomi 18 Fold has an internal display of 7.58 inches, and the iPhone Duo also has over 7.5 inches. Motorola will embed 32Mpx selfie cameras in both displays. On the back, there will be two 50Mpx cameras – a main and an ultrawide. A telephoto lens will be missing, so zooming will only be handled by digital zoom up to 30×, meaning cropping the image from the main sensor. The Xiaomi 18 Fold, however, has a periscope with 3.5x optical zoom. What about the battery and the rest of the features? Power will be supplied by a two-cell battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. Wired charging speed via USB-PD is not yet known, but wirelessly the phone is expected to support full Qi2 with 25 W power. For comparison – both the Xiaomi 18 Fold and the book-style Razr Fold offer 6,000 mAh. Water and dust resistance is to be ensured by IP48 and IP49 certifications, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 are present, and in addition to a physical nano SIM slot, there’s also eSIM. It will run on Android 17 out of the box, the fingerprint reader will be hidden in the side button, and a separate physical button for AI will be added. Dimensions are better with the competition The unfolded phone will measure 110 × 149 × 5.8 mm, and when folded, 110 × 76 × 12.6 mm. The thickness is precisely the weakest point of the leaked specifications. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is 9.7 mm when folded, the Xiaomi 18 Fold is 10.68 mm, and the iPhone Duo is approximately 9 mm. With a weight of 215 grams, the Razr Flex will be slightly heavier than the Fold8 (201 g), but lighter than the Xiaomi 18 Fold (219 g). The difference will be even more significant compared to the iPhone Duo, which weighs 254 grams. When will it hit the market? Motorola is targeting a launch in mid-December, but the date may still shift according to the source. The phone is expected to arrive in two colors from the Pantone palette – Coriander and Dark Botanical Garden. The leak does not specify the price. Whether the new device will also reach the Czech Republic, no one has said yet. Hope is given by its older sibling – the book-style Razr Fold has been sold here since this spring and in a September promotion, it dropped below 38 thousand Czech crowns.
