A fourteen-inch gaming laptop is the holy grail between portability and performance – and the Zephyrus G14 comes closer to it than most competitors. Now you can buy it with code ALZADNY15 for 62,989 CZK instead of 78,990 CZK. However, it’s not a machine for hunters of the cheapest frames per second, and we’ll explain why right away.

Quick summary:
It’s for you if you want powerful gaming and creation in a truly portable and luxuriously crafted body, plus a gorgeous OLED and incredible battery life for a gaming laptop.
⚠️ Keep in mind that for the same performance, you can buy a larger 16″ laptop cheaper, the memory is soldered on, the storage has only one slot, and the processor gets quite hot under load.
💡 For 62,989 CZK with code ALZADNY15, you get one of the most beautiful and best-built gaming laptops – but the design premium is part of the price.

An aluminum gem with a gorgeous OLED

The main draw isn’t raw performance, but the craftsmanship. The all-aluminum CNC body weighs only 1.5 kg and feels as premium as a MacBook Pro, further enhanced by a subtle Slash Lighting strip on the lid instead of a flashy “gamer” style. The crown jewel is the 14″ OLED display with 3K resolution (2880 × 1800), 120 Hz, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and HDR True Black 500 certification – deep blacks, accurate colors, and according to tests, eye-friendly thanks to minimal flickering. Performance is handled by the twelve-core Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (with NPU at 50 TOPS, i.e., full Copilot+) and RTX 5070 graphics with a 90W limit, complemented by 32 GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. Together, this can handle modern games at high details and more demanding creative work, with DLSS 4 also enabling ray tracing. Battery life is a pleasant surprise – in tests, the laptop managed around eleven hours of video playback, which is exceptional for a gaming machine. Wi-Fi 7, USB4, MUX Switch, and a comfortable keyboard with a large trackpad are also included.

What you pay for that luxury

Let’s be upfront about what the Zephyrus is not – the king of price/performance ratio. For the same money, you can get a larger 16″ gaming laptop with more powerful graphics and better cooling; with the G14, you’re paying extra for portability and craftsmanship. This also entails thermal compromises: the processor climbs to almost a hundred degrees under sustained load, and the fans make their presence known. Non-upgradability is also crucial – the memory is soldered on, so those 32 GB will stay with you forever, and the storage has only a single M.2 slot, meaning you replace the drive when expanding, not add to it. Add to that the 8GB video memory, which might not be enough for the highest details with ray tracing in the future, a glossy display prone to reflections, and a missing webcam cover – and you have a list of things to consider.

If you’re after the highest frames per crown, opt for a larger and cheaper one. However, if you want a powerful gaming and work machine that you can carry all day, looks and feels premium, and has one of the most beautiful displays on the market, the discounted Zephyrus G14 is an enticing choice – just be aware that part of the price pays for that luxury.

Will you pay extra for the aluminum body and portability, or are you after the highest performance for the least money?
