OnePlus is preparing to launch a smartphone from the brand new N series. The new OnePlus N6 is highly likely to be the brand’s cheapest smartphone to date. Thanks to newly leaked benchmark results, we now also have an idea of what chipset will power it.

OnePlus N6 will rely on the well-known Mediatek

The OnePlus N6 will be unveiled in just a few days, specifically on June 30th. In the meantime, the manufacturer has already managed to show the phone’s appearance and snippets of its specifications. We have thus received confirmation of a massive 8,000 mAh battery along with 45W charging. According to the manufacturer, this should provide enough energy for 1.7 hours of video playback in 5 minutes. Reverse wired charging is also confirmed, so the phone can also serve as a power bank on the go.

According to records in the Geekbench database, the new device should feature the Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chipset. This indicates performance for rather undemanding users, but still sufficient for everyday use. Moreover, this more or less confirms that it will be a phone with 5G support. Certainly, the chipset used is not a powerhouse, but if the estimated price of approximately 3,200 CZK is confirmed, it could be a model with a very interesting price-to-performance ratio.

The manufacturer has also already shown the design of the upcoming OnePlus N6. It relies on a proven style derived from the current TOP model, the OnePlus 15. The upcoming novelty should arrive in at least a light mint green and also a dark version, which appears as a very dark green in the renders. A look at the back revealed a pair of cameras. Whether these will be two full-fledged cameras, or if one position will be occupied by some “auxiliary” or macro sensor, is not yet clear.

Would you buy such an affordable smartphone from OnePlus?
