Popular AlzaPower power bank with display discounted to 389 CZK. It hasn't been cheaper for at least a year

Looking for an affordable 10,000 mAh power bank that can charge more than just your phone at once? Alza has now discounted its popular Parade Gen2 with a 10,000 mAh capacity as part of Black Friday, and the black variant costs 389 CZK instead of 599 CZK at the time of writing. You’ll save 210 CZK, roughly a third of the price, and you’ll also get a cable included in the package.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense if you want a lightweight pocket backup for your phone, headphones, or watch and you like the display with precise charge status.
⚠️ Consider that it will charge a phone with a 5000mAh battery about one and a half times, and according to customers, the plastic over the display scratches easily.
💡 At 389 CZK, the black variant is the cheapest it’s been in at least the last year; in February, it cost 479 CZK.

Three Outputs, up to 22.5 W, and a Percentage Display

The power bank has a battery with a capacity of 10,000 mAh (37 Wh) and offers two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. You can charge up to three devices simultaneously, such as a phone, headphones, and a watch. According to the manufacturer, it is compatible with fast charging for phones of various brands.

However, it delivers a maximum of 22.5 W only via USB-A; USB-C ports can handle a maximum of 20 W. For most phones, this is sufficient for fast charging, but models with 45W or even faster charging will not utilize their full potential. If you connect all three devices at once, the total output power, according to the manufacturer, drops to 15 W.

The biggest draw is the LCD display. It shows the remaining capacity in percentages, along with voltage and current, so you can immediately see if your phone is charging quickly. For headphones and watches, the power bank has a small device mode, which you activate by holding down the button for about five seconds. The package includes a 30cm USB-C cable with a loop, its dimensions are 140 × 68 × 16 mm, and Alza provides a three-year warranty for it.

Charges a Phone Approximately One and a Half Times

The 10,000 mAh figure is calculated at the voltage of the cell itself. During conversion to 5 V and other losses, some energy is lost, so less reaches the phone. One customer measured this on Alza and got 32.2 Wh from the stated 37 Wh from the power bank, which, according to them, corresponds to typical conversion losses. In practice, according to reviews, you will charge a phone with a 5000mAh battery approximately one and a half times.

The power bank itself charges at up to 18 W, and the manufacturer promises a full charge in 2.5 hours. However, several customers report that charging takes longer for them. You should also consider that if you are charging the power bank and simultaneously charging a phone from it, fast charging will drop out, according to a detailed review by one of the buyers.

Customers Praise the Display, Complain About Soft Plastic

Alza records a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 651 customers for the power bank, 90% of whom recommend it, and over 10,000 units have been sold. The return rate is 0.33%. Reviews most frequently praise the clear display with percentages and current, low weight, and the included cable.

Conversely, some people complain that the plastic over the display is soft and scratches after just a few days in a pocket. If appearance matters to you, a case or a separate pocket in a backpack would be useful. Overheating is also occasionally mentioned in reviews.

You Can’t Charge a Laptop with It

20 W via USB-C is not enough for a laptop or a more powerful tablet. Those who want a backup for their computer in their backpack must opt for a larger and heavier 100W variant, which Alza also discounted as part of Black Friday.

At 389 CZK, it makes sense mainly as a pocket backup

The Parade Gen2 is suitable for students and others who spend all day on the go with their phones, as well as for trips and festivals where power outlets are hard to find. Due to its display and low price, it also makes sense as a Christmas gift. At 389 CZK, you’ll also get it at its lowest price in the entire last year.

Anyone with a phone that supports very fast charging and wants to use it on the go, or needs to charge their mobile multiple times a day, will be more satisfied with a more powerful or larger power bank.

Do you carry a power bank with you every day, or do you only take it out for trips?
