However, other accessories, such as a power bank, are relatively easy to misplace or completely forget. Huawei’s new device accounts for this less fortunate scenario: not only does it offer super charging performance, but it also functions as a Bluetooth locator. With the help of a mobile app, you can then find out where you left your power bank. Functions as a locator so you don’t lose it The power bank pairs with your phone via Bluetooth, and as long as both devices are within range, you can make it ring – this comes in handy when you can’t find it in your room, office, or travel bag. If the connection between the power bank and the mobile phone is then interrupted, the phone, according to the manufacturer, will remember the last place where both devices “saw” each other and show it to you on a map. Huawei even claims that you will know the exact floor within a building. However, one significant limitation must be considered: the entire feature runs within the Huawei ecosystem and requires a phone of the same brand. Without it, the power bank will not function as a locator. Furthermore, the offline search function must be enabled before you lose the device. Also impresses with high charging performance At its core, of course, remains charging. The manufacturer states two-way 100W in SuperCharge mode, so in addition to your phone, you can also charge a laptop with the power bank, and it will also charge itself faster than ordinary models. The 12,000 mAh capacity is sufficient for less than two full phone charges, and since we are talking about less than 100 Wh in total, you can even take the power bank on an airplane. The USB-C cable is built directly into the device’s body, where it magnetically attaches to the side. The body measures 15.9 mm and weighs 238 grams, and there are three colors to choose from – icy pink, ceramic white, and black. Owners of phones with HarmonyOS 6.1 and newer will also see the battery status directly in the system and receive notifications about potential overheating. Price and Availability In China, the new Huawei power bank starts at 399 yuan, which is approximately 1,250 Czech crowns. However, it is not yet heading to the Czech Republic, and no one from the company has spoken about a European release. For us, it is more of a demonstration of what could be common for every better power bank in the future. Would you appreciate a power bank that you can find using an app?
