Samsung is already testing One UI 9 on dozens of devices. See if yours is on the list

  • Samsung has started internal testing of One UI 9 based on Android 17 on a wide range of Galaxy devices
  • The list includes S series flagships, foldables, tablets, and cheaper A-series phones, from last year's Galaxy S24 to this year's S26
  • However, the list is not final – these are only the models currently undergoing testing

Before a major system update reaches regular users, it first goes into internal builds – and it’s from these that the broad scope of Samsung’s testing has now leaked. An extensive list of Galaxy phones and tablets has appeared, on which One UI 9 with Android 17 is already running in an early development phase. We wrote earlier that Samsung is not lagging behind with new system testing this year – the company released the first Android 17 beta in May.

Which Galaxy devices are already testing One UI 9?

According to available information, test builds are running on these models:

  • Galaxy S Series: S26, S26+, S26 Ultra, S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, and S24 FE
  • Foldables: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7
  • Galaxy A Series: A57, A56, A34, A17, and A16
  • Tablets: Galaxy Tab S11, Tab S11 Ultra, Tab S10+, and Tab S10 Ultra

More interestingly, devices that are yet to be released have also appeared in the test builds:

  • Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8 foldables
  • affordable Galaxy A18
  • Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra tablets

For foldables, this makes sense – the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 are rumored to be unveiled as early as late July, so Samsung is close to fine-tuning them.

When will One UI 9 arrive on your phone?

No specific date for individual models has been confirmed yet. Testing for the Galaxy S26 series, according to 9to5Google, will run for at least another month, and further betas are expected to appear in the coming weeks.

However, it’s important to take the list with a grain of salt. As the source itself pointed out, this is not a final list – these are just the devices Samsung is currently testing. There will likely be even more phones and tablets that will eventually receive One UI 9.

Is your Galaxy among the tested devices?
