Summer holidays are knocking on the door, and with them, days when it will be unbearable at home. Lidl is now selling the Comfee Cool 12000 Plus mobile air conditioner for 6,999 CZK instead of the original 10,999 CZK – so the air conditioner from Lidl has been discounted by exactly 4,000 crowns.

What the Comfee Cool 12000 Plus can do

It is a single-hose monoblock with a cooling capacity of 12,000 BTU, which is approximately 3.5 kW. The manufacturer states that it can cool a room up to 43 m² (approximately 100 m³) – but take this as a figure under ideal conditions; in a poorly shaded attic under a scorching roof, the real range will be significantly lower.

In addition to cooling, the unit can also dehumidify. You control it from the LED display and with the included remote control; it also features a timer and night mode. The refrigerant is the more efficient R290, and the energy class is A. Those who want to control the air conditioner from their mobile phone can opt for the smarter Wi-Fi variant.

Noise and Weight: The Price of Mobility

Mobile air conditioners have two weaknesses compared to fixed split units, and Comfee is no exception. The first is noise – the manufacturer admits up to 63 dB, which roughly corresponds to a loud conversation. This might not suit everyone for a full night in the bedroom, even with night mode enabled.

The second compromise is its weight of over 36 kilograms and the necessity to vent the exhaust hose out of a window. This air conditioner is only truly “mobile” within a single room with a window – you certainly won’t be moving it between floors every day.

Lidl Air Conditioner: Price and Availability

And now for the important part. The Comfee Cool 12000 Plus was sold on Lidl’s e-shop for 10,999 CZK, now you’ll pay 6,999 CZK for it – the discount is a full 4,000 CZK, approximately 36%. For less than seven thousand, it’s one of the best ways to get a mobile air conditioner with decent performance this year.

Would you opt for a mobile air conditioner for your apartment, or would you rather wait for a fixed split unit?
