The cheapest laptop with RTX 5060 in Czechia. But be careful about one number

The cheapest laptop with RTX 5060 on the Czech market sounds like a clear buy. The Lenovo LOQ Essential now costs 20 990 Kč with code ALZADNY15 instead of 24 694 Kč. But before you click buy, you need to know one number that you won’t find in the specifications – and which determines how fast the graphics card will run.

Sixty-five watts instead of one hundred fifteen

For gaming laptops, the same graphics card can deliver completely different performance in different machines – what matters is TGP, i.e., how many watts the manufacturer allows the card. The RTX 5060 can run up to 115 W. In the LOQ Essential, it is set to 65 W, which is the lowest possible value.

Tom’s Hardware’s editorial team summarized it bluntly in their review: they called the results disappointing and wrote that such a limited RTX 5060 does not deliver the performance a buyer would expect from this designation – in their tests, it was repeatedly outperformed by the Asus TUF Gaming F16 with a weaker RTX 5050, which, however, runs at a full 115 W.

In practice, this doesn’t mean the laptop is weak – in tested games, it achieved smooth frames around 50 to 70 FPS in Full HD with DLSS enabled. You just won’t get what the paper specifications promise.

Where Lenovo, on the other hand, didn’t cut corners

The display is a pleasant surprise: 15.6″ IPS with Full HD resolution, 144 Hz, 300 nits, and 100% sRGB coverage. Color accuracy at this level is rare in the budget class and is suitable for lighter creative work, not just gaming. Reviewers also praise the keyboard and especially the expansion options: the laptop has two memory slots and two M.2 slots for SSDs, so you can easily upgrade it yourself over time.

On the other hand, the Core i5 13450HX processor is several generations old, and the memory runs in single-channel mode, which further hinders performance – buying a second module is therefore probably the cheapest way to help the laptop. If you are looking for the cheapest entry into modern gaming with DLSS 4 support and accept it as a compromise, the LOQ Essential makes sense. However, if you want to get the maximum out of the RTX 5060, you should look for a model with the 115W version.
