A pre-built PC doesn't have to be an overpriced piece of junk! This computer from Alza is now (relatively) good value

Building a gaming PC from individual parts may no longer be cheaper than buying a pre-built one. For the AlzaPC GameBox Prime Mini at 32,990 CZK, we compared the prices of its listed components, or comparable alternatives. We estimated the cost to be almost forty thousand crowns. Thus, a build with a GeForce RTX 5060, a ten-core Core Ultra 5, and 32 GB DDR5 is worth considering even for someone who usually builds their own computers.

What you get for under 33 thousand

The Core Ultra 5 225F is accompanied by a GeForce RTX 5060 with 8 GB of dedicated memory. The operating memory has a capacity of 32 GB and is DDR5-6000, which is useful even when gaming with other applications in the background. You can store games and files on the 1TB Kingston NV3. Another SSD can be added to the second, currently free M.2 slot.

Inside is an ASUS PRIME B860M-A WIFI motherboard and a DeepCool CH270 Digital case. You can connect to the network via Wi-Fi 6E or 2.5Gb/s Ethernet. Take the name Mini with a grain of salt: the case is 486 mm tall, so it belongs next to the monitor or under the desk, not behind the monitor like a small office mini PC.

How much comparable components cost today

When checked on November 3rd, the breakdown below came to 39,656 CZK without shipping, OS, and assembly. For the graphics card, we used a dual-fan Gigabyte of the same series, and for RAM, a Patriot kit with the same capacity, speed, and timing. We do not claim that Alza uses these specific brands in the build.

Important note: the motherboard and cooler are not individually in stock, and the case has an advertised later delivery. Therefore, this is not a complete cart that can be ordered today, nor is it an exhaustive survey of all alternative builds. However, the breakdown shows why it makes sense to recalculate the price of the pre-built GameBox.

The entire computer comes with a 36-month warranty and an unsealed case. The price of 32,990 CZK includes the assembled hardware; after installing your own operating system, you can start using the computer and leave any future upgrades for later.
