Vivo has officially confirmed the European debut of the X300 FE model, which is set to launch on April 29 for 999 euros (approximately 24,200 CZK). However, under the new label hides an old acquaintance — it is a rebranded Chinese Vivo S50 Pro mini, which is being introduced on our continent with slightly modified software and a European price tag. A compact that doesn't have to be ashamed in front of flagships Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a battery like full-fledged flagships Three fifties on the back and an extra telephoto lens Price, availability, and a question mark over the Czech Republic A compact that doesn’t have to be ashamed in front of flagships Design-wise, the X300 FE resembles a cross between an iPhone Air and current Pixels or Samsungs — flat edges, a metal frame, a cleanly designed camera module on the back. The phone should sit comfortably in hand, aided by its 8.2 mm thickness and 192 g weight. Most importantly, it offers a combination of IP68 and IP69 certifications, meaning it can withstand pressurized water — which is far from standard for models of this size. The front is dominated by a 6.31″ LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,640 × 1,216 pixels and a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. Thin bezels optically reduce the phone’s size, and the maximum brightness in HDR mode is expected to reach up to 5,000 nits. An ultrasonic fingerprint reader is hidden under the display. Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a battery like full-fledged flagships Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is at work, the same chip that appeared in, for example, the OnePlus 15R. Vivo adds 12 GB of RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. There will be no doubt about performance — the challenge will rather be heat dissipation in a compact body. However, the battery capacity is a truly atypical value. 6,500 mAh in a phone of this size is something virtually no compact competitor can boast of. For comparison — Xiaomi 15 offers 5,240 mAh, Galaxy S25 even significantly less. The X300 FE can be charged wired at 90 W, wirelessly up to 50 W. Stereo speakers will handle the sound. Three fifties on the back and an extra telephoto lens The camera setup relies on a trio of fifty-megapixel sensors. The main role is played by the Sony IMX921 sensor with optical stabilization, accompanied by an IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and — unfortunately — a significantly weaker 8Mpx wide-angle sensor. Vivo will also offer a separate accessory for the phone in the form of a 200mm telephoto lens, which will extend the optical range up to 8.5x magnification. Price, availability, and a question mark over the Czech Republic The Vivo X300 FE will be available for purchase in the Eurozone from April 29 for 999 euros. Those who register on the manufacturer’s product page by April 28 will receive a 50-euro discount. The official distribution in the Czech Republic remains an open question. Vivo has been quietly strengthening its presence here in recent years, but not all models make it to our market. If you like the features and price, be aware that you might have to wait for a potential Czech premiere — or opt for an import from another European market. Would you swap a large phone with a big battery for a small compact with an even bigger one?
