Stick vacuum cleaners mainly compete in one thing – which one will do the most work for you by itself. Xiaomi has just added the Mijia Wireless Vacuum Cleaner 4 Pro to this game in China, a model that, after cleaning, simply needs to be returned to a special docking station where it self-empties. This means you don’t have to go near the dirt container for weeks.

What the Mijia Wireless Vacuum Cleaner 4 Pro offers

At the heart of the vacuum cleaner is a brushless motor spinning at 120,000 revolutions per minute. From this, the manufacturer derives a suction power of 230 AW, or a vacuum pressure of 25,000 Pa – numbers that practically all flagship stick vacuums boast today. How it performs on carpets with tangled hair will only be revealed by real-world use, but on paper, it’s a top-tier offering.

Power is provided by a removable 2,600 mAh battery. Xiaomi states a battery life of up to 90 minutes on a single charge, but there’s a catch: it only applies in the most economical Eco mode. With full suction, expect significantly shorter run time, just like with any competing model.

Dust is separated by a twelve-cyclone system and undergoes five-stage filtration, which, according to Xiaomi, is designed to capture 99.99% of particles down to 0.3 microns. The filters are washable. The main motorized brush has an anti-tangle design for hair and illuminates a 180° band of blue light in front of it, which illuminates otherwise invisible dust up to 30 centimeters ahead. The package also includes a smaller motorized brush for mites and a 2-in-1 crevice tool.

Practical Docking Station

The main attraction of the “Pro” version is the self-emptying station. In addition to charging the vacuum, it also transfers the contents of the container into a three-liter bag – completing the entire process in about eleven seconds. The bag is treated with silver ions against bacteria and odor and, according to the manufacturer, will last about 100 days of regular cleaning before needing replacement.

The vacuum cleaner connects to the ecosystem via Xiaomi HyperOS Connect and the Xiaomi Home app. There you can find battery status, bag fullness, and notifications when consumables run out. Furthermore, the dirt sensor automatically adjusts suction power based on how dirty the floor it is currently cleaning is.

Price and Availability

The Mijia Wireless Vacuum Cleaner 4 Pro is sold on Chinese JD.com for approximately 4,600 Czech crowns (1,498 yuan); with a local government subsidy, it drops in some regions to the equivalent of approximately 4,000 Czech crowns (1,304 yuan). For now, it is purely a Chinese novelty – when and if it will arrive on the European market, the manufacturer has not specified. It is also available in only one, pure white color.

However, Czech customers do not have to wait for a similar piece of technology. Xiaomi recently expanded its range of cleaning technology in our country with the Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner G30 Max model, which can be purchased normally through Czech distribution.
