Half a terabyte of storage and 12 GB RAM for eight and a half thousand sounds exceptional, especially nowadays. AlzaPlus+ members can now buy the Vivo V50 5G for 8,541 CZK instead of 13,590 CZK. The reason is simple: the brand is already selling the successor V70, and as is often the case with phones, the outgoing model suddenly offers the best price/performance ratio in the entire series.

Vivo’s V series positions itself as a camera phone, and the V50 confirms this: three 50Mpx lenses (main, wide-angle, and selfie) with ZEISS certification and a portrait mode with studio lighting simulation that can smooth out even evening light in a restaurant. The 6.77″ AMOLED display with 120 Hz has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, making it readable even in direct sunlight. The 6,000 mAh battery with 90W charging lasts two days for a typical user and recharges in less than an hour. And IP69 rating can handle even pressurized water – something many flagship phones don’t have. On Alza, the V50 has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 21 customers.

Is it worth paying extra for the V70?

The successor Vivo V70 primarily upgrades the cameras and overall features, but it is noticeably more expensive – and this difference is now the core of the decision. If you take a lot of photos and want the latest generation, the V70 has its arguments. However, if you are looking for the best possible price-to-performance ratio, the V50 for 8,541 CZK is one of the best offers we’ve seen on the Czech market this year. The chip remains a weakness: the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is sufficient for everyday use and occasional gaming, but you’ll hit limits with the most demanding titles, and a telephoto lens is also missing.
