Xiaomi smart washing machine now costs only six thousand. It fits even in a narrow bathroom

Is your old washing machine in a narrow bathroom nearing the end of its life, and a standard model won’t fit into the gap between the bathtub and the wall? If you also appreciate the option of smartphone control, the seven-kilogram Xiaomi washing machine with a depth of just 45 centimeters is an item you should consider. As part of the newly launched Black Friday event, Alza is selling it for 5,999 CZK, which is 2,000 CZK cheaper than before the event.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense for smaller households and narrow bathrooms where a standard washing machine depth is an obstacle.
⚠️ Consider that it’s just a washing machine without drying, and 7 kg might not be enough for a large family.
💡 For 5,999 CZK you get energy class A, 1,200 rpm, and mobile control.

Lowest price since it arrived in the Czech Republic

The washing machine appeared on Alza at the end of August and cost 7,299 CZK at its launch. According to Hlídač Shopů, it stayed at this price for less than a month, from September 20th it was sold for 7,999 CZK. Alza calculates the current 25% discount from that price.

45 cm depth and 7 kg laundry

The main draw remains its dimensions. With a width of 59.8 cm and a height of 85 cm, the washing machine measures 45 cm in depth, and the body itself without the door is only 42.1 cm. This allows it to fit into a narrow bathroom in an apartment building, a hallway, or a niche where a washing machine of standard depth would protrude.

The drum with a diameter of 525 mm can hold 7 kg of laundry, which is usually sufficient for one to three people. It spins at up to 1,200 revolutions per minute and, with energy class A and a consumption of 36 kWh per 100 cycles, it is among the economical models. Xiaomi also promises consumption about one-fifth lower than the class A limit. According to Alza, the inverter motor comes with a 12-year warranty.

You can control the washing machine with your phone

On the color touch panel, you’ll find 14 programs, with another 16 added by the Xiaomi Home app. The washing machine connects via Wi-Fi, and you can start it, schedule it, or check how much time is left from your phone. We tested how such an application works in practice during our review of the more expensive Xiaomi washer-dryer. You can do without the app, but you’ll lose some programs and remote control.

The delayed start of up to 24 hours is also useful. You load the laundry in the evening, and the washing machine starts at night, for example, when you have a cheaper off-peak electricity tariff, or so that it finishes just before you return from work. According to Xiaomi, the Hygiene steam program eliminates over 99.99% of selected bacteria, and the quick program can handle one to two kilograms of lightly soiled clothes in 15 minutes.

What to consider before ordering it

This is a washing machine only, it cannot dry. Those who have nowhere to hang laundry must consider a separate dryer or opt for a combined model. On the energy label, the washing machine has a spin efficiency class B, so laundry will come out of the drum slightly wetter than from top-class washing machines. The ECO 40-60 economy program lasts 3 hours and 28 minutes, which is common for economy programs but not suitable for quick washes.

Seven kilograms is also the limit for larger families. If you wash bedding for four people or blankets, it’s worth looking at the eight-kilogram Xiaomi model instead. The spinning noise level is listed at 71 dB on the label. So far, only three customers have left reviews on Alza, so stronger conclusions cannot be drawn from them.

Who benefits from the discount

It will benefit most people in smaller apartments, students, and couples whose old washing machine is nearing the end of its life in a narrow bathroom. For 5,999 CZK, they will get an economical washing machine with a 45 cm depth, decent spin speed, and mobile control, which is rather an exception at this price point. Large families and those who also need drying should look elsewhere.
