Robotic mowers have become an increasingly accessible alternative to traditional lawn mowing in recent years, but most models still require tedious perimeter wire installation. This very problem is solved by the premium Dreame A3 AWD Pro 2500, which has now arrived on the Czech market. The combination of LiDAR navigation, all-wheel drive, and AI obstacle recognition ranks it among the most advanced robotic mowers today – however, this is reflected in its price exceeding 55 thousand Czech crowns.

No Wire, Just LiDAR and an AI Camera

The mower’s eyes are the OmniSense™ 3.0 system, which combines a 360° 3D LiDAR scanner with a range of up to 70 meters and a binocular AI camera. Thanks to this, the A3 AWD Pro can automatically map the garden and create virtual boundaries entirely without the need for laying perimeter wire. The mower recognizes more than 300 types of obstacles – from garden furniture to toys and even pets.

LiDAR navigation has an advantage over GPS-RTK systems in that it works reliably even under trees or in narrow passages, where conventional satellite signals sometimes fail. Centimeter-level accuracy then ensures uniform coverage of the entire area.

All-Wheel Drive for Challenging Terrain

The Dreame A3 AWD Pro stands out from the competition with its four hub motors with all-wheel drive. Thanks to them, it can handle inclines of up to 80% (38.7°) and overcomes obstacles up to 5.5 cm high. For comparison – conventional robotic mowers handle around 35–45% incline. If you have a garden with significant terrain irregularities, this could be a key parameter.

The mower features two 40cm blades, which allow for cutting height adjustment in the range of 3–10 cm. The EdgeMaster™ technology then ensures mowing up to 3 cm from the edge of the lawn, eliminating the need for manual trimming along flowerbeds or paths.

Garden Guardian with a Camera

An interesting feature is the Garden Guardian mode, which uses the onboard camera for real-time garden monitoring. The mower can detect human movement and send notifications to the app. It also includes an anti-theft alarm, GPS tracking, and an integrated 4G module with eSIM for localization even outside Wi-Fi range.

IPX6 water resistance allows for easy cleaning with a stream of water directly in the garden. The manufacturer states the noise level at 65 dB, which corresponds to a normal conversation.

Who It’s For and Who It’s Not

With a price of 57,499 CZK, the Dreame A3 AWD Pro 2500 is among the more expensive robotic mowers on the Czech market. The investment makes sense primarily for owners of larger gardens with varied terrain, who will appreciate the all-wheel drive and wire-free automatic mapping.

Conversely, for smaller, flat gardens up to 500 m², there are significantly cheaper alternatives that can do the job just as well. The 162 Wh battery capacity of the 2500 model covers an area of up to 2,500 m²; for larger properties, Dreame also offers 3500 and 5000 variants with higher capacity.
