Football, TV series, or fairy tales with children on a screen that takes up almost an entire living room wall. Not long ago, only those willing to dig deeper into their pockets could fulfill such a vision. Alza has now discounted the 75-inch Hisense 75E7S by a third to CZK 13,990 as part of Black Friday, and additionally includes an Antik TV subscription, valued at CZK 4,068.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense if you want the largest possible TV screen, sports, and streaming services for a reasonable price.
⚠️ Consider that the panel is only 60 Hz, has low contrast, and no local dimming, so it might not be enough for gamers and film connoisseurs.
💡 For CZK 13,990, you save CZK 7,000 compared to the price it was sold for throughout October (less than 3 thousand compared to the September sale).

Screen over 190 cm with Dolby Vision and HDR10+

The Hisense 75E7S is this year’s model with a 75-inch diagonal (approximately 190 cm) and 4K resolution. The manufacturer classifies it as a QLED TV, meaning it has a quantum dot layer for richer colors. It supports all common HDR formats, including Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and HLG, so it can handle content from Netflix, Disney+, and Blu-ray players.

Smart features are handled by the VIDAA system. It’s not Google TV, so you get apps from Hisense’s own store. According to Alza, you’ll find Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, HBO Max, Prime Video, SkyShowtime, and Apple TV, as well as Czech services such as Oneplay, Prima+, SledováníTV, Skylink Live TV, or Telly. You can send photos and videos from your iPhone via AirPlay 2, and the remote has a button for voice control in Czech.

Sound is provided by two 15W speakers with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support. However, for a TV of this size, it’s worth considering a soundbar – you can then control a Hisense soundbar directly from the TV menu. You connect it via HDMI with eARC or an optical output.

1,200:1 Contrast and No Local Dimming

The low price had to be reflected somewhere, and it’s most evident in the panel. For the 75-inch version, Hisense states a contrast of only 1,200:1, while the larger 85-inch model from the same series has 3,800:1. Furthermore, the backlight lacks local dimming, meaning it illuminates entirely at once. Therefore, in a darkened living room, blacks will tend to appear grayish, and dark movie scenes won’t be as impressive as on more expensive Mini LED TVs.

HDR is also related to this. While the TV can play Dolby Vision, with a typical brightness of 350 nits (manufacturer’s data), bright details cannot be significantly enhanced. Therefore, the effect will be noticeably more modest than on TVs that rely on high brightness for HDR.

Gamers will encounter 60 Hz

The description on Alza entices with a gaming mode featuring VRR, ALLM, and a Game Bar overview. The TV indeed has all of these, but only within the limits of a 60Hz panel. According to the manufacturer, the variable refresh rate operates in the 48–60 Hz range, so games from PS5 or Xbox Series X will run at a maximum of 60 frames per second. You won’t be able to utilize the 120 fps mode that many games offer. The input lag in gaming mode is 9.8 ms according to the manufacturer, which is sufficient for casual gaming.

Measure it for your apartment, the feet are 131 cm apart

The TV measures 166.8 cm in width and weighs 18.8 kg. According to Alza, the feet are placed 131.6 cm apart, so you’ll need a table or dresser approximately 1.35 meters wide. The second option is a wall – the back has a VESA 200 × 300 mount, and Alza offers installation for CZK 1,899. Also, expect energy class E for standard content and G for HDR. The maximum power consumption is 220 W according to the manufacturer.

It makes sense mainly where viewing occurs in light

Families and sports fans who want a large screen for news, football, hockey, and series from streaming services, and primarily watch during the day or with lights on, will benefit most from the discount. It can also suit someone who wants to buy a second TV for a larger room and doesn’t want to spend twenty thousand on it.

Conversely, those who watch movies in the dark in the evening or play action titles on a console will likely be dissatisfied with the 75E7S. However, as an inexpensive way to get 75 inches for CZK 13,990, the TV holds its own.

Would you trade brightness and contrast for a larger diagonal?
