A subwoofer is hidden in the base, and reviewers describe the sound as unexpectedly good for the device’s size. It features auto-focus, keystone correction, obstacle avoidance, and optical zoom, so you don’t have to painstakingly adjust the projector every time you move it. The image can reach up to 300 inches, supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and IMAX Enhanced, and European units run on Google TV.

The C2 Ultra is Designed for Xbox certified and, according to reviews, offers a 15 ms response time at 4K/60 Hz and just 12 ms at 1080p at 240 Hz with automatic game mode support – these are excellent figures for a projector, making gaming enjoyable even in shooters.

There are two criticisms, both practical. Firstly, the need for mains power – while the projector is small and light, you can’t take it to the garden without an outlet. Secondly, automatic image adjustments. Some complain that they activate automatically as soon as you move the projector and are not easily cancelled. However, if you’re looking for a true replacement for a large TV with an image that works even in daylight, the C2 Ultra for thirty-eight thousand is the most interesting offer on the market.
