Chinese electronics manufacturer Anker is significantly expanding its presence in the local market. On Friday, August 14, the company officially opened its first store in the Czech Republic, which you can find in the Westfield Černý Most shopping center in Prague, and the Svět Androida editorial team was there. The brand’s flagship store not only offers the opportunity to purchase products but also to try them out and get thoroughly acquainted with them. Furthermore, until the end of the week, there is a 20% discount on the entire assortment, while selected products can be bought up to half price.

The opening program continues, you can take home free products

Although the official opening took place on Friday at noon, the opening program will continue throughout the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, the first 15 customers each day will receive a Soundcore Select 4 Go speaker, and another 185 customers will receive a free cable. Additionally, from 14:00 to 20:00, a raffle is drawn every two hours, and three lucky winners will take home gifts in each round. Prizes include premium Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max wireless headphones, an Anker Prime Wireless Charging Station 3-in-1 Stand, or a Soundcore Boom 2 Plus wireless speaker.

The opening also includes the Anker Playground experience zone on the 1st floor of Westfield Černý Most. From August 14 to 20, visitors will be able to try a challenge where they will have to pull a heavy weight through a narrow opening within 10 seconds. Every participant will receive a scratch card with an instant win.

The Prague store is only the second in Europe

One might expect to find Anker’s first European stores in metropolises like Berlin or Paris. However, the reality is far more interesting: the Prague store is only the second store of the brand in Europe, after the one in Belgrade. Groot Lv, country manager of Anker Innovations for the Czech Republic, also clearly indicates that the company’s efforts in our territory are far from over with the opening of a brick-and-mortar store.

“We will focus on expanding the availability of our products, continuing close cooperation with retail partners, and maintaining close contact with local customers and their needs,” he stated. “Our long-term ambition is to become a trusted brand in the Czech Republic in the areas of charging, audio, and smart home. Not just a brand that people know, but also a brand they can confidently choose,” he added.

Groot Lv also stated that Prague is “a starting point, not the final destination” regarding Anker stores in the Czech Republic. This could mean that branches will open in other cities later. However, the company primarily wants to find out what products Czech customers are truly interested in.

The Svět Androida editorial team also inquired about Anker’s potential ambition to launch an official online store for the Czech Republic. Before the store’s opening, goods were exclusively available through retail partners such as Datart or Alza, or on the European e-shop. We should receive a specific answer on Monday.

Power banks, projectors, headphones, and much more

For those who are not yet familiar with the Anker brand, or have only heard of it, it is a manufacturer of technologically advanced products in the areas of charging, audio, and smart home. In the store, you can try out and purchase power adapters, various types of power banks, wireless headphones including special models designed for sleeping, speakers, projectors, or security cameras marketed under the Eufy brand. Specialties also include robotic vacuum cleaners or a UV printer.

All products of the brand usually offer an excellent price-to-feature ratio, and therefore are often compared to devices from Xiaomi. They are suitable for both Android phone users and iPhone owners.
