Action started selling a charger with an insane price/performance ratio. We will test it

From time to time, an interesting piece of electronics appears in the offer of the discount chain Action. In the media aisle, you will now find the Re-load charging station, which surprised us primarily with its price-to-performance ratio. For only 489 CZK, it promises to deliver up to 200W of combined power and is equipped with a total of eight charging ports. We bought it and will subject it to an editorial test.

It surprised us mainly with its price

When I discovered the charging station in Action’s catalog, I was mainly interested in the price. The amount of 489 crowns corresponds to classic wall chargers that offer three ports and around 67 W of power. Here, however, you get a model with a total power of up to 200 W, which has almost three times the number of ports.

Similar solutions are commonly sold for prices around two thousand crowns. Examples include the AlzaPower Ultimate X720 200W charger, which has been available on Alza since August for 1,699 CZK, or the Cubenest PD GaN Adapter 240W S6D0, which we introduced along with other chargers of the same brand in mid-September. It offers even higher performance than the Action model, but costs 2,399 CZK.

We bought the charger and are starting to test it

We couldn’t resist, so we went to the Action store in Prague’s Galerie Butovice on Wednesday to get the charger. It wasn’t hard to find – it was indeed in the Media section, and thanks to its surprisingly large box, it stood out quite a bit.

We have already unboxed the charger and are now starting to test it. In addition to the station itself, the package also includes a power cable and a stand, which allows it to be placed vertically on a table. However, you must provide your own cables for charging the devices themselves, as none are included in the package.

Would you buy such a powerful charger from Action?
