HyperOS 4 expands to more Xiaomi phones. Beta now available for 17T and 15 series

The promised expansion is here. Just on Thursday, we reported that the HyperOS 4 global beta had arrived for the first three flagships outside China – and exactly as planned, the circle of testers has now expanded to include four more Xiaomi phones.

Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 17T models are joining the beta

The second wave of recruitment has opened for four more models:

• Xiaomi 17T Pro
• Xiaomi 17T
• Xiaomi 15 Ultra
• Xiaomi 15

Owners of a total of seven phones can currently apply for the beta. In addition to this year’s new releases, the program also includes the 15 series flagships, which sold in large numbers in our country. In the first wave, only Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17, and Leica Leitzphone received the global beta.

How to apply for the beta?

The update is only for registered participants of the beta program, exclusively on global and European (EEA) versions of the system. Applications can be submitted directly in the Xiaomi Community app in the Me → Beta testing → Recruiting test section.

You may not receive a notification about availability immediately – the beta is rolling out gradually, but a manual check will usually reveal it sooner.

What does HyperOS 4 bring?

Xiaomi showcased the new generation of the system in August, and the biggest transformation was in its appearance. HyperOS 4 is built on Android 17 and introduces a glassy, translucent Soft Light Glass design with layering and light reflections. Stackable widgets, more clearly grouped notifications, and a redesigned lock screen and device control center are also added.

A firm release date for the stable version is still missing – Xiaomi has not specified when and for which phones HyperOS 4 will be released in its final form.
