Each room can heat according to a different schedule

The study doesn’t have to have the same regime as the living room. In the Eve app, you set when the valve should maintain a comfortable temperature and when to lower it. The schedule runs independently even after you leave with your phone. If the daily program changes, you can also adjust the temperature manually. The point is not to heat unnecessarily the same way all day, but the specific savings depend on the household and settings.

You can set schedules directly in the valve via Eve on Android with Google Home, or on iPhone or iPad with Apple Home. Samsung SmartThings and Amazon Alexa do not yet support these local schedules in the Eve app; there, the manufacturer recommends time-based automations of the respective platform. The choice of home system therefore determines how you will plan your heating.

Watch out for the hub and the exact version

For the stated price, you get the valve with the designation 10EBP1751, which is the fourth generation with Matter. It is not the newer fifth generation. For connection, you need a device with Matter Controller and Thread Border Router functionalities. So, it’s not enough to just buy the valve and download the app to your phone.
