The weight of 0.99 kg is the main argument and you’ll notice it immediately in practice – the laptop is practically unnoticeable in a backpack and can be comfortably used on your lap or held in your hand. The body is made of Ceraluminum, an aluminum and magnesium alloy with a ceramic surface, which reviewers describe as pleasant to the touch and very durable; the laptop also has MIL-STD-810H military certification.

The display is a 14″ OLED with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 600 nits brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 coverage – blacks are perfect and colors are accurate, which is not standard for laptops in this weight category. Inside, the Snapdragon X2 Elite with 18 cores operates, boasting a 4.7 GHz boost and an NPU with 80 TOPS of performance, double what Copilot+ requires. The 70 Wh battery, according to the manufacturer, lasts up to 32 hours of video playback and charges via USB-C. It also features two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, Wi-Fi 7, and a case is included in the package.

Three things it’s fair to know

First and most practically: the charger is not included in the package. The laptop can handle 45 to 100 W via USB-C, so if you already have a more powerful GaN adapter for your phone, you’ll be fine; otherwise, expect another purchase.

Secondly, Windows on ARM. Reviewers of the entire Zenbook A14 series agree that it’s a great machine for productivity, travel, and media consumption, but anyone who needs professional video editing, gaming, or specialized software should verify compatibility beforehand. UltrabookReview also points out that support for the latest X2 chip in software is not yet complete and will still be fine-tuned. Thirdly, the 60Hz display – OLED is beautiful, but it lags behind 120Hz panels in smoothness.
