A proper party depends on the sound system, and JBL has a new reinforcement for these moments. The PartyBox 130 is a portable speaker with 200 W of sound and a built-in light show that will liven up fun in the garden, at the cottage, or in the living room. It arrived in the Czech Republic for 9 990 Kč.

What sound does the JBL PartyBox 130 offer?

According to JBL, the heart of the speaker is a pair of transducers with a total output of 200 W RMS – specifically, 5.25″ bass woofers complemented by 25mm silk tweeters. The AI Sound Boost technology, which monitors distortion, and smart Smart EQ equalization ensure sound clarity even at higher volumes. The manufacturer promises that the device can provide sound for both more intimate celebrations and larger garden parties.

A light show that dances with the music

What distinguishes party speakers from ordinary wireless “boxes” is their visual aspect. The PartyBox 130 features a new generation of strobe edge lights that flash to the rhythm of the playing track. According to JBL, you can fine-tune both the light effects and the sound itself remotely via the JBL One app.

Battery for the whole evening and durability for adverse conditions

According to the manufacturer, the built-in battery offers up to 15 hours of playback, to which approximately 3 more hours can be added via the Playtime Boost function. The JBL Battery 200 accumulator is also replaceable – it is sold separately, so you can pack a spare for longer events. When the power runs out, ten minutes at the outlet will conjure up another approximately 80 minutes of music. The IPX4 rating protects the speaker against splashing water, so it can withstand a spilled glass or a shower in the garden. For carrying between parties, expect a weight of 11.3 kg.

Karaoke, guitar, and connecting multiple speakers

The PartyBox 130 also caters to musicians and entertainers. It offers two inputs for microphones and two for guitars, making it suitable for karaoke and home jamming; JBL also sells EasySing wireless microphones for it. The wireless features include Bluetooth 6.0 and Auracast technology, through which you can pair more compatible speakers into one setup. A source can also be connected via cable – through USB-C with lossless sound, an optical input, or a 3.5mm jack.

How much does the JBL PartyBox 130 cost and where to buy it?

In the Czech Republic, the JBL PartyBox 130 is available in black and white. You can purchase it for 9 990 Kč, which places it among the more affordable models in the party series – its larger sibling, the PartyBox 330, which was also recently introduced, boasts higher performance and longer battery life, but also a higher price (however, it is not yet available in the Czech Republic).

Are you tempted by a party speaker with its own light show, or is a regular Bluetooth speaker enough for your entertainment?
