Most powerful laptop for 15 thousand? Vivobook 16 with a fourteen-core Intel and OLED display is now an extra good deal

A processor typically found in gaming laptops with RTX 5070 can now be found in a laptop for under fifteen thousand. The ASUS Vivobook 16 now costs 14,990 CZK with code ALZADNY40 instead of 27,590 CZK – and for this money, you get an Intel Core 9 270H and an OLED display, a combination you won’t find elsewhere in this price range.

Performance you wouldn’t expect from an office laptop

The Intel Core 9 270H has fourteen cores, twenty threads, and a boost up to 5.8 GHz. In the PassMark database, it achieves 28,826 points, placing it among the top approximately 14% of all processors, and in single-core performance, it surpasses over 93% of the market. Notebookcheck primarily lists it in gaming machines like the Acer Nitro V16 with RTX 5070 graphics – but here you have it in an office laptop for a third of their price.

In practice, this means the laptop can handle tasks that ordinary machines for fifteen thousand cannot: Full HD and 4K video editing, RAW photo export, code compilation, running virtual machines, or working with enormous spreadsheets. Additionally, it features a 16″ OLED with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 and 95% DCI-P3 coverage, meaning a color-accurate panel suitable for image work, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a fingerprint reader, a backlit Czech keyboard with a numeric keypad, Wi-Fi 6, and MIL-STD-810H certification.

Three catches it’s fair to know

Firstly: the laptop is sold without an operating system and without a charging adapter. A Windows 11 license will cost you several thousand, and an adapter several hundred more – fortunately, it charges via USB-C, so a more powerful GaN charger will suffice. Secondly: 16 GB DDR5 is installed in a single module, so the memory runs in single-channel mode, which primarily hinders the integrated graphics. Thirdly: the graphics are integrated Intel, so this laptop is not for AAA gaming – its strength lies purely in the processor.
