The story surrounding the Steam Machine gaming PC is moving forward once again. Shortly after Valve confirmed its release this summer, a report emerged that the company is already sending out the first review units to journalists. If true, we could know the price and approximate sale date within a few weeks.

What reportedly arrived with the Steam Machine for reviewers

The information was brought by the Steam Hardware Updates account on X, which was highlighted by VideoCardz server. According to the report, reviewers are receiving not only the machine itself but also complete accessories: the package is said to include a Steam Controller, mounting brackets, and interchangeable front panels. Whether the same equipment will appear in regular retail or if it’s just a reviewer kit is not yet clear.

When the embargo will lift and when we’ll know the price

The timing would make sense. According to the leak, the embargo on the first reviews is set to lift shortly after June 23rd, with the price announcement and pre-order launch reportedly scheduled for the last week of June. This would align with a sales start sometime in July or August – precisely within the summer, for which Valve itself is officially preparing the new product.

How much the manufacturer will ask for the Steam Machine remains a big unknown. No one has revealed the official price yet, and earlier speculations spoke of a sum around 20,000 Czech crowns for the basic version – but this is far from confirmed. Let’s remember that, according to current information, the machine is expected to offer roughly six times the performance of the portable Steam Deck, so it will certainly not be a minor addition to the living room.

Do you believe we will finally see the Steam Machine this summer?
