Steel body, dual-band GPS, and Gemini. Moto Watch Ultra smartwatch is heading to our market

Motorola has a new item on its Czech website that’s worth noting. The Moto Watch Ultra is a smartwatch with a 1.5-inch pOLED display, a steel body, and the Wear OS 6 system, targeting those who want a full-featured smartwatch with apps — and are willing to pay for it with more frequent charging.

Phone on your wrist

Key features include eSIM support, allowing you to make calls, send messages, and manage notifications without carrying your phone. For running or cycling, the dual-band GPS will come in handy, performing better in cities among buildings or in forests. Contactless payments are possible via Google Wallet, and the Gemini assistant is also included.

Health features are provided by Finnish Polar, a brand that means something in sports trackers. The watch monitors individual sleep phases and derives regeneration recommendations from them. Durability covers both IP68 and 5ATM, so they can handle swimming.

Two days. That’s it

And here we encounter the most significant compromise. Motorola promises up to two days of active use — which is common for Wear OS watches, but it still means you’ll be charging them every other day. The comparison with its own offering is striking: the cheaper Moto Watch, with its simpler system, lasts up to thirteen days according to the manufacturer. So, for apps from the Play Store and eSIM, you’re paying with eleven days of battery life.

The second reservation concerns software support. Motorola promises two major system updates, which is rather average compared to the competition. And the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor is also no newcomer — Qualcomm introduced it several years ago and has since released significantly more modern chips.

Pantone Colors

Available options include Gun Metal and two Pantone colors — Mountain View and Nuthatch. Motorola already lists the Czech price on its website. The watch will cost 12 499 korun.
