Large OLED TVs tend to be expensive. The 77″ LG OLED77B6ELC now costs 35,994 CZK with code ALZADNY40 instead of the original 59,990 CZK, despite being a fresh April novelty. In addition to top-notch picture quality, it also offers

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want a large 77″ OLED TV with perfect blacks and a 120Hz panel for movies, sports, and gaming.
⚠️ Consider that the B6 is an entry-level OLED series with lower peak brightness than more expensive C/G models, and 20W sound for this screen size calls for a soundbar.
💡 For 35,994 CZK, you get a 2026 novelty cheaper than LG itself currently offers it.

Why this novelty is appealing

This LG OLED TV builds on the main reason people buy OLED – perfect blacks and high contrast thanks to Perfect Black technology with UL certification. The picture is handled by the alpha 8 AI Gen3 processor with 4K upscaling and support for Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG. On a 77″ diagonal, the fineness of details and the FILMMAKER MODE film mode also stand out. And as a 2026 novelty, it also has a five-year webOS Re:New update program.

Gaming and Smart Features

For gamers, the 120Hz panel and four HDMI 2.1 ports with support for 4K at 120 Hz, G-Sync, FreeSync Premium, VRR, and ALLM are important. Cloud gaming via NVIDIA GeForce NOW and the Game Optimizer panel are also present. For smart control, there’s the AI Magic Remote and webOS with Multi-AI search (Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot), plus AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and LG Gallery+ mode for displaying artworks.

What to watch out for

It’s fair to say that the B6 is LG’s entry-level OLED series, so it has lower peak brightness than the more expensive C and G models – in a very bright room or with HDR scenes, the more expensive series will be brighter. Also, keep in mind that the integrated 20W speakers are rather basic for a 77″ TV, and a soundbar is suitable for a full movie and sports experience. And as with any OLED, general caution applies to long-term static images, even though modern panels have burn-in protection features.

Verdict: who it’s worth it for

For 35,994 CZK (compared to the original 59,990 CZK), the 77″ LG OLED77B6ELC is an attractive entry into large OLED with perfect blacks, 120 Hz, and complete gaming features – and at a price lower than LG itself offers. If you want the highest possible brightness and top-notch sound from the TV itself, pay extra for a higher series and a soundbar. However, for movies, sports, and gaming on a large screen, this discounted novelty is a very reasonable purchase.

Would you choose an entry-level OLED with a large diagonal, or rather a smaller but higher series with higher brightness?
