Xbox Series X with a disc drive is back on the Czech market! It hasn't been cheaper for several months

In July, we wrote about a strange situation on the Czech market – the classic black version of the Xbox Series X practically disappeared from the offerings of large e-shops, and the only available variant was the digital white edition for almost 15 thousand crowns. At that time, it seemed that Microsoft had likely redirected distribution to Western Europe, which is probably still true, but one of the e-shops has now stocked a few units at a relatively good price. The classic black version with a disc drive is back and costs 11,989 CZK.

What has changed since July

In July, the only available variant was the Xbox Series X Digital Edition in Robot White for 14,716 CZK (with a discount code). This was a model without a disc drive, so you were limited to digital games from the store or Xbox Game Pass. Many players therefore preferred to wait or look for the console abroad.

Now, the classic black version with a 1TB SSD and a disc drive has appeared on the market for 11,989 CZK. Compared to the digital edition, you save almost 3 thousand crowns, and you also have the option to play physical discs – whether it’s games, Blu-ray movies, or old Xbox One titles from a second-hand store. The package also includes the game EA FC 25.

Is it a good buy?

The price of 11,989 CZK is not a record low – a few years ago, it was possible to buy the Xbox Series X on sale for as low as 10 thousand. But the current market situation is different. In the summer, the only available variant was almost 3 thousand more expensive and without a disc drive. So if you’re waiting for a Series X, this is a better opportunity than in recent months.

Regarding performance, the Xbox Series X is still among the most powerful consoles on the market. It offers 4K resolution at up to 120 FPS, support for ray tracing, HDR, and a fast 1TB NVMe SSD.
