Xiaomi brings a shaver with a color display to the Czech Republic. It has 45 blades and lasts up to three months

Xiaomi offers a whole range of inexpensive travel shavers, and we only wrote about the latest, small Mijia S100 for three hundred crowns a few days ago. However, the new product, which the Czech Mi Store e-shop has just stocked, plays at a higher level: Mijia Electric Shaver Pro is a flagship model that relies on dual-ring foils, a smart display, and a battery designed to last a whole season.

How does the Mijia Electric Shaver Pro shave?

At the heart of the shaver are two ring foils with a corrugated profile, manufactured using metal injection molding (MIM) technology. Xiaomi promises a larger area for capturing hair than with conventional straight grooves, and in combination with concave stainless steel blades, less pulling. In total, the head houses 45 self-sharpening blades.

Power is provided by a high-speed motor, which, according to the manufacturer, can handle up to five million cuts per minute and, with a smart chip, monitors stubble density approximately a hundred times per second – adjusting power accordingly. You can switch between standard mode (2,900 revolutions) and turbo mode (3,100 revolutions).

Xiaomi also boasts specific figures: compared to the older S700 model, the Pro is said to irritate the skin approximately 80% less, increase shaving efficiency by 48%, and reduce hair pulling by 70%. However, these are the manufacturer’s own laboratory values, so take them as indicative – we cannot independently verify them.

Micro-bead head and IPX8 water resistance

The surface of the shaving head is covered with a layer of approximately 1.76 million silicone micro-beads, designed to reduce friction and uncomfortable tension during shaving. Furthermore, Xiaomi manufactures the foils from low-nickel stainless steel, so the shaver should also be suitable for more sensitive skin.

The entire shaver has IPX8 water resistance, so you can simply rinse it under running water after shaving, and wet shaving with foam is also not an issue. The head tilts in all directions and adapts to the contours of the face to reach the neck, sideburns, or corners of the mouth.

Battery lasts up to three months, color display surprises

Here’s the biggest draw: on a single charge, the shaver is designed to last up to 95 days in standard mode and 90 days in turbo mode. However, this is calculated based on one minute of shaving per day, so actual battery life depends on how thick your beard is and how often you shave. It charges via USB-C, even during operation – if you run out of power just before leaving, a few minutes on the cable will save you.

The current status is revealed by the smart color display, which lights up as soon as you pick up the shaver. It shows the selected mode, battery status, whether the travel lock is engaged to prevent accidental activation in a bag, and also warns of low power or overheating. The package also includes a travel case and a stand.
