While many households in the Czech Republic haven’t even properly started to utilize the potential of Wi-Fi 6, Xiaomi already has a router on our market that looks several years ahead. We informed you about the flagship model Xiaomi Router BE19000 Pro at the beginning of March, when it appeared on the manufacturer’s global website without a published price. Now it’s also coming to the Czech Republic – and you’ll pay 9,999 CZK for it in the official Mi Store e-shop. It’s a device that doesn’t make sense for everyone, but if you belong to the right target group, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better offer.

For ten thousand, an offer that costs significantly more from competitors

Almost ten thousand for a router is an amount most users will never spend. However, in the context of features and competition, Xiaomi’s price tag is surprisingly aggressive. The closest comparable model, TP-Link Archer BE800, with the same BE19000 wireless connectivity class and a pair of 10-gigabit ports, sells on Heureka from 12,672 CZK, while in brick-and-mortar stores, it commonly reaches 14 to 19 thousand CZK. Xiaomi is therefore targeting the same audience but with a price set several thousand lower.

Wi-Fi 7 with speeds over 18 Gbps and 6GHz band support

The BE19000 Pro utilizes the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard and offers a tri-band wireless architecture with 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and now also 6 GHz bands. The aggregate theoretical speed reaches 18,656 Mbps, and thanks to MLO (Multi-Link Operation) technology, the router can aggregate two bands simultaneously to offer compatible devices a throughput of up to 4.3 Gbps. Signal propagation is handled by an array of 12 antennas complemented by 12 amplifiers for 360° coverage.

However, one thing needs to be mentioned: you will only utilize the full potential of Wi-Fi 7 with newer devices that support this standard. Examples of phones include the Samsung Galaxy S25, iPhone 16 Pro, or Xiaomi 15. Older mobile phones and the vast majority of notebooks used today will have to settle for Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E, respectively.

Pair of 10-gigabit ports for the most demanding scenarios

Wired connectivity is precisely what makes the BE19000 Pro stand out from the competition. The router features a total of six Ethernet ports: a pair of 10GE and four 2.5GE, achieving an aggregate bandwidth of 30 Gbps. This pair of full-fledged 10-gigabit ports is exceptional equipment at this price point and makes sense for users with NAS servers, video editing workstations, or owners of exceptionally fast fiber optic connections. According to the manufacturer, it can transfer a 40GB file on a local network in 52 seconds, and a 70GB project in 90 seconds.

To expand storage options, the router offers an M.2 slot compatible with NVMe SSDs (sizes 2230 to 2280) and a USB-A port for connecting external drives. File sharing via the Samba protocol is supported, so the device can at least partially substitute for a home NAS – but it is certainly not a full-fledged replacement.

AI optimization and Mesh network for the whole home

At the heart of the router is a quad-core Qualcomm Networking Pro A7 processor, which powers three AI functions. AI anti-interference automatically analyzes surrounding networks and minimizes interference, AI Mesh roaming ensures a seamless transition between routers with a delay of just 1 to 2 seconds, and AI power management optimizes energy consumption. A Mesh network can be created from up to ten devices, with compatibility maintained even with older Xiaomi and Redmi routers supporting Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7.

Bonus for Xiaomi smart home fans

For owners of the Xiaomi smart home ecosystem, the BE19000 Pro has one significant advantage. It also functions as a Bluetooth Mesh 2.0 gateway, allowing up to 300 Xiaomi Bluetooth devices to be connected – smart locks, temperature and humidity sensors, doorbells, or individual lighting elements. Compared to the previous generation gateway, it offers 150% faster response and 180% shorter pairing time. If you plan to build your home on Xiaomi products, you eliminate the need to purchase separate gateways.

Also included is NFC tap-to-connect for quick phone connection to Wi-Fi without entering a password, integration with the Xiaomi Home app including parental control, and dual cooling with a total area of 86,258 mm², designed to maintain stable performance even under long-term load. Overall, the router can handle up to 1,000 network devices, a value you won’t realistically use in a home environment, but it speaks to the hardware’s robust design.

Who the BE19000 Pro makes sense for (and who it doesn’t)

Frankly: for an average household with a gigabit connection and a few devices, this is pure overkill. You would actually get the same wireless network speed from a router costing 3 to 4 thousand CZK, because many phones, notebooks, and TVs used today do not yet utilize Wi-Fi 7 (although the number of models on the list is constantly growing). If this applies to you, focus instead on the mid-range around 2 to 4 thousand CZK – that will be perfectly sufficient.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Router BE19000 Pro makes sense for a specific group of users. It will be appreciated by creatives and small studios working with large files on a local network, NAS server owners, gaming enthusiasts with VR headsets, households building an extensive Xiaomi smart home ecosystem, or those who want a network ready for a multi-year horizon. For this target audience, it is currently one of the most affordable ways to get a pair of 10GE ports and Wi-Fi 7 – even though nine and a half thousand CZK is certainly not a trivial amount.

Would you get such a powerful router, or is your current solution perfectly sufficient?
