Xiaomi's truly smart toothbrush is likely heading to Europe. It has a display and can be connected to a mobile phone Home News Xiaomi globally introduced the Mijia Smart Servo-oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro with a color display The new product offers connectivity with the Xiaomi Home app, a pressure sensor, and detection of brushed areas using a six-axis gyroscope In China, the toothbrush costs 269 yuan (approximately 820 CZK converted), the global price has not yet been announced Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 24. 4. 2026 08:30 Advertisement A few months ago, in a review of the cheaper Xiaomi Oscillation Electric Toothbrush model, I wrote that the toothbrush, priced under a thousand crowns, lacked the very elements that make a modern electric toothbrush a modern electric toothbrush in the true sense of the word – app connectivity, a pressure sensor, and reliable detection of missed spots. Xiaomi has evidently decided that this gap in its own portfolio bothers them too, and has now published the Mijia Smart Servo-oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro on its global website. This one does exactly what its cheaper sibling cannot. New Motor Type and Wider Cleaning Coverage Color Display and Six-Axis Gyroscope Pressure Sensor for Gum Protection Connectivity with Xiaomi Home App Two Brush Heads, 180-Day Battery Life, and USB-C Price and Availability in the Czech Republic New Motor Type and Wider Cleaning Coverage According to Xiaomi, the heart of the toothbrush is a new servo-oscillation motor, which differs from sonic vibrating models in the way the brush head moves. It not only vibrates but also oscillates sideways at an angle of up to 60°, which is intended to more accurately correspond to the Bass technique of tooth brushing, to which most electric toothbrush manufacturers refer. Compared to previous Mijia toothbrushes, the new product is designed to cover three times more area in a single stroke. The manufacturer also states 92% cleaning efficiency, a figure supported by a test report from CVC Testing Technology laboratory. It’s worth noting that similar figures are measured by each manufacturer independently, and comparisons between brands cannot be made based on them. Color Display and Six-Axis Gyroscope Precisely what disappointed me with the cheaper toothbrush – namely, dealing with brushed and missed spots – is addressed by the Pro version with two hardware elements. Directly in the body, we find an LCD color display, which shows how you are performing in individual dental zones during brushing. The display also informs about remaining time, plaque level, and battery status. The second key element is a six-axis gyroscope, which recognizes which part of your teeth you are currently brushing and adjusts the vibration intensity and oscillation angle accordingly. For chewing surfaces, the angle should decrease and the frequency increase, while for outer surfaces, the angle increases to allow the brush to cover more area. The question remains how precisely this will work in practice – with the older model I had, the calibration of individual positions was lacking. Pressure Sensor for Gum Protection Perhaps the most significant addition for me compared to the cheaper model – a pressure sensor. If you press the toothbrush harder than advisable, it will start vibrating differently, and a circular indicator on the back of the handle will flash red. At the same time, the motor’s power will automatically decrease to prevent unnecessary gum damage. This is standard for toothbrushes above two thousand crowns, but this feature has been missing in cheaper Xiaomi models so far. Connectivity with Xiaomi Home App The toothbrush connects with the Xiaomi Home app, where the user gets two operating modes. The first, called Custom, creates a cleaning plan based on a questionnaire you fill out during the first use, and can then differ between morning and evening. The second, Personalised mode, gives you free rein to adjust parameters – vibration intensity, oscillation angle, or the duration of individual phases. The app then displays cleaning overviews, plaque risk, and recommendations for improving technique. Here, it’s necessary to remain sober: however Xiaomi handles data analysis, it is not a substitute for a dentist visit. The company itself admits in a note that the app’s recommendations are for informational purposes only. Two Brush Heads, 180-Day Battery Life, and USB-C The package will apparently include two types of brush heads – a classic cleaning head with two spiral columns of bristles for daily care, and a softer variant with a circular arrangement for sensitive mouths. Both heads rely on copper-free bristle embedding technology and rubber lining, which is designed to cushion the impact of the head against teeth. The bristles are color-indicated – once the green stripes fade, it’s time to replace the head (Xiaomi recommends after three months). Other notable features include a 180-day battery life in gentle mode, or 90 days with standard brushing twice a day for two minutes. Charging is via USB-C, and two minutes at the outlet should be enough for one complete cleaning. The toothbrush can withstand complete submersion thanks to IPX8 rating, and it also features a travel lock, a three-second gradual start, and memory for the last used mode. Price and Availability in the Czech Republic Xiaomi has not yet revealed specific details regarding price and availability. In China, the same toothbrush was launched last autumn with a price of 269 yuan, which converts to approximately 820 CZK. We anticipate that the toothbrush could cost approximately 1,300–1,500 CZK in our market. Do you use a smart electric toothbrush, or are you content with a regular one?
