Xiaomi unveiled a smart dishwasher with one super feature! What do you think of it?

Xiaomi has been proving for several years that it is not limited to smartphones, watches, and small electronics on the Chinese market. The local Mijia catalog consists of dozens of large appliances, and it has now expanded with another interesting piece. The new built-in Mijia Smart Dishwasher Pro can hold up to 18 place settings and offers several smart features that are not so common in Europe. The price was set at 6,999 yuan, which translates to approximately 21,300 CZK.

Washing progress projected onto the floor

Perhaps the most unique feature of the equipment is a projector displaying the washing cycle progress directly onto the floor. Instead of bending down to the control panel, a glance at the floor is enough, and the user immediately sees what stage the wash is in. You can judge for yourself how practical or unnecessary this is, but it is certainly an unconventional solution among competitors.

Typically, the dishwasher offers connectivity with the Mijia app, through which programs can be started and washing status monitored remotely, and voice control via the Chinese assistant XiaoAI. After the cycle is complete, the door also automatically opens slightly to allow moisture to escape faster and dishes to dry better.

Detergent refill once every three weeks

A practical aid is the built-in 450ml detergent dispenser. Xiaomi states that one fill is sufficient for approximately three weeks of normal use, eliminating the need for manual dosing before each wash. The software also monitors the amount of remaining liquid.

The Mijia Smart Dishwasher Pro can accommodate up to 130 pieces of tableware in one cycle, arranged on three levels specially designed for Chinese dining style. Performance is handled by a BLDC motor with a pressure of up to 52,000 Pa, a trio of spray arms, and five-stage vortex washing. There is a choice of a total of 16 main and 4 additional programs, including a 59-minute quick cycle with washing and drying in one.

Hygiene thanks to high temperature

For thorough disinfection of dishes, the dishwasher relies on an internal temperature of up to 135 °C and a dual disinfection system operating in two separate circuits. Water consumption per cycle is 12.4 liters, and energy consumption is around 0.835 kWh, meeting Chinese energy efficiency standards. Dimensions of 598 × 775 × 570 mm correspond to the standard for built-in kitchen units.

Unlikely to come to Europe

Large Xiaomi home appliances of this type usually do not make it from China to European markets, and the Mijia Smart Dishwasher Pro will likely be no exception in this regard. Those interested in a smart home with the Xiaomi brand in our region must continue to be content mainly with smaller products.
