Do you want sports watches with a diverse range of sports functions, including many advanced features, and sapphire glass? Amazfit Balance 2 have dropped from the original 7 590 Kč to 5 699 Kč. They even boast NFC payment support and up to 21 days of battery life, which in practice means you’ll hardly have to think about charging.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want durable sports watches with long battery life and a wide range of sports at a reasonable price.
⚠️ Consider if you want to pay with your watch at any bank – Zepp Pay in the Czech Republic currently only supports selected Mastercard cards.
💡 For 5 699 Kč, you get sapphire glass, dual-band GPS, and 10 ATM, which are features that competitors usually offer at a higher price.

Why these watches are interesting

Balance 2 is aimed at active users and ambitious athletes who want one watch for running, gym, golf, and water activities. The main advantage is the combination of premium design with an aluminum body and sapphire glass and practical features that you would find a price category higher elsewhere. In addition, the manufacturer adds a pair of speakers for voice prompts during training. When the price dropped to 5 699 Kč, they become one of the most interesting choices in this class.

Key parameters explained simply

Health monitoring is handled by the BioTracker biosensor with two LED diodes, which measures heart rate, sleep quality, blood oxygenation, and stress level in real-time. For sports, you have access to more than 170 sports modes, including special modes for HYROX races, diving, and golf (with maps of 40,000 courses). Location is monitored by dual-band GPS with six satellite systems, which maintains signal even under trees or between buildings, and you can download offline maps with free navigation to memory.

A great advantage is the battery life of up to 21 days with typical use, so you only deal with charging exceptionally. The watch handles 10 ATM water resistance and military-grade durability, so you don’t have to worry about demanding conditions. The software runs through the Zepp application with personalized analyses and Zepp Coach training plans.

Practical aspects: payments, recovery, control

The watch supports NFC contactless payments via Zepp Pay, where you can link up to eight cards and pay directly from your wrist. For recovery tracking, they offer continuous sleep, rest, and stress measurement and are compatible with the Helio band for even more precise data. Control is facilitated by the voice assistant Zepp Flow, which allows you to check statistics or start an activity without interrupting your workout. You receive the watch with a 24-month warranty.

What to watch out for

Even at a great price, Balance 2 has its limitations. The biggest is limited bank support for Zepp Pay payments – in the Czech Republic, it currently only works with Mastercard cards from mBank, Raiffeisenbank, and Curve, so if you want to pay with your watch, verify your bank before purchasing. Furthermore, it is true that the Amazfit ecosystem and Zepp application is somewhat less extensive than with established brands like Garmin or Apple, especially concerning third-party applications. The watch also does not have its own mobile connection (LTE), so for some functions, you need your phone nearby.

Verdict: who it’s worth it for

If you are looking for durable sports watches with long battery life, quality GPS, and a wide range of sports, Amazfit Balance 2 for 5 699 Kč are an excellent choice – compared to the launch price of 7 590 Kč and also against competing models from Garmin or Suunto, which usually cost around ten thousand in similar configurations. On the other hand, if you want to pay with your watch at any bank without restrictions or need the widest possible app ecosystem, verify in advance if Balance 2 will suit you. For most athletes, however, they offer an exceptional price/performance ratio.

Would you opt for the more affordable Amazfit, or would you pay extra for an established brand like Garmin?
