We already wrote about the battery of the new generation of Samsung’s premium watches — and it was good news. Now, images have been added to the numbers. The latest batch of renders was provided by leak veteran Evan Blass, who was pulled back from his announced retirement for them. The question is whether it was worth getting up for.

Find ten differences. Or rather two

Those who expected a bolder look might be disappointed. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 looks almost identical to its predecessor. Upon close comparison, two deviations can be found — slightly narrower bezels around the display and redesigned markings on the rotating bezel. This essentially concludes the list of visual novelties.

The back of the device then confirms what was rumored earlier. Samsung sticks to a single case size of 47 mm, the display is covered by durable sapphire glass, and there’s also LTE, GPS positioning, and 10 ATM water resistance. A conservative approach that won’t surprise anyone in the Ultra series.

The essential part is hidden inside

The fact that the watch won’t win points for its appearance doesn’t mean it has nothing to offer. The main attraction remains hidden under the cover — and that is a significantly larger battery. A cell around 800 mAh is rumored, which should push the battery life beyond three days.

The premiere is scheduled for next month. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 are expected to arrive alongside the regular Galaxy Watch9 series, Galaxy Glasses smart glasses, and the Fold8 and Flip8 foldables. However, until the official unveiling, let’s take all this information with a grain of salt — these are still just leaks, albeit from a source that has built a decent reputation over the years.

Do you mind repetitive design in watches, or is it enough for them to serve their purpose?
