Xiaomi has started rolling out the first global beta version of HyperOS 4, and owners of the latest flagships can download it manually. Just a few days ago, we were still writing about the recruitment of testers. Currently, the overlay supports three flagship models, but the circle will expand later this week.

The HyperOS 4 beta is supported by a trio of flagships

The first wave is heading to Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17, and the Leica Leitzphone model. According to Xiaomi, the update is rolling out gradually and only to registered participants of the beta program. If you are part of it, you might not receive a notification immediately, but a manual check in Settings will reveal it sooner.

Moreover, the list of supported devices will soon expand. As early as September 17, the beta will also open to owners of Xiaomi 17T, 17T Pro, Xiaomi 15, and 15 Ultra, adding four more phones within a few days. Whether HyperOS 4 in beta form will also reach older models is not yet clear.

What does HyperOS 4 bring?

Xiaomi showcased the new generation of the system in August, and its appearance has changed the most. HyperOS 4 relies on a glassy, transparent design in line with current trends, adds customization options and other AI features, and according to the manufacturer, runs faster than the previous version. The first testers outside China will now experience how the new features work in practice.

However, a firm release date for the stable version is still missing. Xiaomi has not specified when HyperOS 4 will be released in its final form and for which phones – according to the manufacturer, the beta is an early development phase, so it will primarily serve enthusiasts who don’t mind occasional bugs. Until then, stable HyperOS 3 remains the reliable option.

Will you try the global beta of HyperOS 4, or will you wait for the stable version?
