The British magazine Wareable summarized it simply in its review: The T-Rex 3 Pro offers everything an experienced adventurer needs, at a price that makes the competition look absurdly expensive. Battery life that the competition doesn’t achieve

This is the main argument, and reviewers agree on it. The manufacturer declares up to 25 days of normal use, 38 hours with precise GPS, and 85 hours in power-saving GPS mode – and tests confirm this. The Android Police editorial team wore the watch for a week with the always-on display enabled, continuous heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, and several workouts, and 55% battery remained. Another reviewer wrote that after three weeks of continuous wear, it was still at 19 percent.

For comparison: Wareable states that the Garmin Fenix 8 lasts five to six days with normal GPS use – and costs many times more. The secret is the 700 mAh battery in the 48mm version and the Zepp OS 5 system, which, unlike Wear OS, focuses on efficiency rather than performance.

Material-wise, it’s quality work: sapphire glass, grade 5 titanium bezel and buttons, 10 ATM water resistance with certification for diving up to 45 meters, and operation down to -40 °C. The display is a 1.5″ AMOLED with 480 × 480 resolution and brightness that Futurism measured at 2,650 nits – so you can read it without problems in direct sunlight.

GPS accuracy on par with Garmin

The most surprising finding from reviews concerns accuracy. Gadgets & Wearables compared the T-Rex 3 Pro with the Garmin Forerunner 955 on three running routes (3, 5, and 7.5 km) and wrote that the watches kept pace practically meter by meter – GPS differed by a matter of meters, and the average heart rate usually by a single beat per minute. This is remarkable for a watch costing eight thousand.

The features are above standard: positioning via six satellite systems, offline maps, route planning, automatic route recalculation, and over 180 sports modes, including hiking and diving. A new feature is automatic dive detection, so the watch automatically recognizes that you have dived and starts measuring the depth and duration of the dive. It also includes a built-in LED flashlight with white and red light and an SOS signal, a speaker with a microphone for Bluetooth calls, and the Zepp Flow voice assistant.

Where reviewers deduct points

Two criticisms are repeated. Firstly, size: the 48mm case with a thickness of 14 mm and straight sides snagged on reviewers’ sleeves and on bedding while sleeping. Although it is lighter than the competing Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra at 76 grams including the strap, it simply won’t fit smaller wrists – a smaller 44mm version also exists, albeit with shorter battery life.

Secondly, the software lags behind the hardware. Wareable put it bluntly: the watch is a powerful piece of technology that is waiting for updates to reach its full potential. And it lacks premium health features that more expensive competitors have – no ECG or blood pressure measurement.
