The vlogging camera boasts Leica, two lenses, and a detachable display Home News Insta360 enters the pocket vlogging camera market with the Luna Ultra model, developed in collaboration with Leica Compared to the competing DJI Osmo Pocket, it features two lenses – the main one with a 1" sensor is complemented by a telephoto lens In the Czech market, the camera starts at 17,890 CZK, available for purchase, for example, on Alza Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 11. 6. 2026 12:30 Advertisement Pocket gimbal cameras have long been dominated by DJI with its Osmo Pocket series. Insta360, known primarily for its action and 360° cameras, has now decided to dive headfirst into this segment. The new Luna Ultra was created in collaboration with the legendary Leica brand and is aimed directly at the upcoming Osmo Pocket 4P – a camera that DJI hasn’t even fully introduced yet. Two Lenses, Leica, and 8K Detachable Display Also Serves as a Remote Control Price and Availability in Czechia Two Lenses, Leica, and 8K The main trump card against the competition is the pair of lenses. The primary camera combines a 1″ sensor with a Leica Summicron lens and a 20mm focal length, which is an ideal field of view for vlogging. The second lens is a telephoto lens with a smaller 1/1.3″ chip, offering 3x optical zoom, 6x lossless, and a maximum 12x zoom. This means you don’t have to deal with cropping distant details in post-production. The video specifications on paper are impressive for a pocket camera: 8K at 30 fps with Dolby Vision support, slow-motion footage in 4K at 120 fps, 10-bit I-Log profile, and a dynamic range of up to 14 EV. Just be aware of a few small catches – 8K and 4K only work in 16:9 and 2.35:1 aspect ratios, and for vertical 9:16 shooting, you’ll have to settle for 60 fps. Image smoothness is handled by a classic 3-axis gimbal complemented by electronic stabilization, and object tracking is managed by the Deep Track 5.0 system. The two-inch OLED touchscreen can be detached and used as a remote monitor up to a distance of 20 meters – including live preview and control. Furthermore, a wireless microphone is built into the display, so it can also serve as a lavalier mic for clear voice recording from a distance. In total, the camera features four microphones, wind noise reduction, and 47 GB of internal storage with the option to expand via microSD up to 1 TB. The 1,550 mAh battery promises up to 4 hours of recording (in 1080p at 24 fps mode) and charges to 80% in 23 minutes. The weight remains a comfortable 233 grams. Price and Availability in Czechia In the USA, Insta360 will ask for $769.99 for the new product. In the Czech market, the Luna Ultra in the basic Standard Bundle will cost 17,890 CZK – the price includes, in addition to the camera, a protective cover, a handle with a 1/4″ thread, and a wrist strap. You can get it, for example, on Alza. DJI now has even more reason not to delay with the Osmo Pocket 4P.
