A wireless mechanical keyboard with Czech legends for under a thousand is something that didn’t exist just a few years ago. The Gateron Brown switches are tactile, so you’ll feel a clear actuation point when typing, but they don’t make the clicking noise of blue switches – one user described the sound as “amazing, not noisy at all, but at the same time I know well that I pressed the key.” Their lifespan is 60 million presses.

A detail that is repeatedly mentioned in reviews and not found elsewhere: the Czech characters are also backlit. On cheaper keyboards, diacritics are often just glued-on stickers, but here they light up along with the rest of the key – one reviewer called it “a luxury in this price category.” Furthermore, you can manage RGB settings directly from the keyboard without software installation, and the 3,750 mAh battery lasts a very long time with the backlighting off. What Users Criticize

Twenty-nine written reviews provide a good overview, and three criticisms are repeated. The first is battery life with backlighting on – one user estimates it at about two days of intensive use; without it, it’s significantly more. The second is compactness: the 75% format has no gaps between function keys, arrow keys, and the PgUp block, so touch orientation takes some getting used to, and the shift key sits right above the left arrow. The third is the absence of configuration software like VIA – everything is set via key combinations, which is sufficient for most, but keyboard enthusiasts will miss it.

Minor issues also appeared: one user reported rattling side switches, another mentioned occasional hard sleep mode, which can be resolved by turning it off and on again. Overall, however, the tone of the reviews is unusually enthusiastic – “I didn’t expect this keyboard to offer so much for this money, I take my hat off to it,” writes one of the latest reviewers.
