Why this robotic vacuum cleaner is interesting

Saros 10R belongs to the highest class of the Roborock model range – only the curious Saros Z70 with a robotic arm stands above it. When launched a year ago, it cost 37,990 CZK, gradually dropped to the usual 26,990 CZK, and now with code ALZADNY30, we get a price of 18,893 CZK. From its original position of “premium at a surcharge,” it moves into a category where it makes real sense to consider due to its price/performance ratio.

The main draw is a combination of three things: a low profile without a LiDAR turret (only 7.98 cm), StarSight 2.0 AI navigation, and a 4.0 multifunctional dock with hot water mop washing. When we tested the model in the editorial office, we rated it 89% – we considered the cleaning quality and navigation to be among the best we have seen so far. The main criticism was, understandably, the price, which is now dramatically changing thanks to the current discount.

Key parameters explained in plain language

The Saros 10R offers 19,000 Pa suction power, which in our test handled even spilled coarse flour on the first pass. Instead of a classic LiDAR turret, it uses 3D Time-of-Flight technology with a pair of lasers and an RGB AI camera, which the manufacturer calls StarSight 2.0. The practical consequence: the vacuum cleaner is only 7.98 cm high and fits under couches and low cabinets where conventional robotic vacuum cleaners with a LiDAR turret cannot go.

The second essential feature is the AdaptiLift chassis, which can independently adjust the height of each of the three bottom wheels. This allows the robot to handle double thresholds up to 4 cm and medium-pile carpets. Furthermore, the rotating mopping pads can lift by 2.2 cm, so carpets remain dry during mopping. The FlexiArm side brush and one of the mops are on extendable arms, which means more thorough cleaning of corners and edges along walls.

The multifunctional Dock 4.0 handles automatic bin emptying, clean water replenishment, and hot water washing of mopping pads at 80 °C, followed by warm air drying. Additionally, it has a 590 ml detergent tank, so you don’t have to manually dispense cleaning solution into the water – a nice automation detail. A full charge takes 2.5 hours thanks to supported fast charging; the battery itself has a capacity of 6,400 mAh and is sufficient for approximately 200 m² of cleaning on a single charge.

Our testing impressions

We tested the Saros 10R in the editorial office for approximately one month, and in daily practice, we were most surprised by its high level of autonomy. The robot automatically detects the surface, adjusts chassis height, suction power, water volume, and mop washing intervals. Initial mapping proceeded without major interventions – we practically only helped it determine the laying direction of the floating floor and the boundaries of a few rooms.

Regarding obstacle detection, the Saros 10R recognizes up to 104 types of objects, and it truly works in practice. In a household with a three-year-old child, the navigation system was put to the test – despite all the scattered toys, it only got stuck once during the entire month of testing, on a Duplo figure hidden on a playmat. We rate mopping with the pair of rotating pads as comparable to a classic manual mop, and vacuuming as problem-free even in corners thanks to the extendable arm.

The price of 18,893 CZK is valid only after entering the code ALZADNY30 in the cart. In our review, the main criticism was the price at the time, but this is now dramatically changing – in terms of price/performance, the Saros 10R is at a completely different level than when it first entered the market.

On Alza, the vacuum cleaner has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 (59 ratings), 88% of customers recommend it, and 31 people wrote detailed text reviews. The complaint rate is 4.04% – slightly higher than simpler robots, but still within the low complaint range. Among the praises, navigation quality, quiet operation, excellent mopping, and logical cleaning layout prevail. Reviewers who switched from older Roborock S7 or S8 models describe a significant leap in efficiency and mop washing quality (due to the 80°C water in the dock).

One very detailed customer directly compared the Saros 10R with the previous Roborock S7 V max ultra and describes the new model as “the best full-featured vacuum cleaner with mopping that exists in 2025” – praising especially hot water mop washing, integrated mop dryer, integrated detergent tank, and overall quieter operation. However, critical voices are systematically repeated and are worth taking seriously. The second reason to consider a different model: if you have thresholds higher than 4 cm (e.g., between a terrace and a living room), the Saros 10R will not be able to cross them – some Dreame models can handle up to double that.

And thirdly: if you want maximum robustness of the consumable ecosystem with immediate availability of spare parts in the Czech Republic, it is better to look at older Roborock S7 or S8 series models, where the accessory situation is resolved. The Saros 10R is a relatively new model, so the supply of consumables is still stabilizing.

Verdict: who it’s worth it for

If you are looking for a full-featured robotic vacuum cleaner with a mop in the premium category and you catch the price tag of 18,893 CZK with code ALZADNY30, this is one of the most advantageous prices in this category overall. From its launch price of 37,990 CZK, the Saros 10R drops by more than 19 thousand, moving it from a luxury category to a realistically affordable one. In our editorial review, it received a rating of 89%, and in daily practice, we were satisfied with it even in a demanding household with a child. Conversely, if you have many mirrors, higher thresholds, or need immediate availability of spare parts, it is worth considering a different model.
