With a TV this large, a movie no longer has to be just a backdrop for the evening. The picture takes up a significant portion of the field of view, and OLED adds what you’ll appreciate most when watching in the dark: black that stays black even next to bright subtitles. The LG OLED83B65LA offers 83 inches and Alza is now selling it for 54,990 CZK without a discount code. Originally, LG was asking 99,989 CZK for it. For a home cinema, this is an attractive combination, but before ordering, it’s worth comparing specific stores.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense for: Film enthusiasts who want a really large OLED for a room with the option of darkening.
⚠ Consider: A brightly lit room may not suit OLED; Mini LED with higher brightness is better there.
💡 Before buying, measure the space: the TV is 184.2 cm wide. Its size deserves adequate space and sound.

In the dark, subtitles don’t have to light up half the screen

OLED creates light in individual pixels. A black spot can turn off, while an adjacent bright detail continues to shine. For night scenes, starry skies, or white subtitles, this is its great magic. The screen does not rely on a common backlight behind the LCD panel, which must compromise to serve both bright and dark parts of the shot.

LG adds Dolby Vision and Filmmaker Mode. This turns off some image processing, so you don’t have to end up with an unnaturally smoothed TV viewing experience from a movie at all costs. Such a large screen also deserves a good source: a high-quality movie stream or disc will utilize its capabilities better than a blurry clip from the internet.

The console can remain connected next to the computer

The B6 is not just a TV for long winter evenings with movies. It has a 120Hz panel, four HDMI 2.1 ports, and variable refresh rate (VRR) including FreeSync Premium and G-SYNC compatibility. You can thus keep your console, gaming PC, and soundbar connected simultaneously. The large diagonal is also useful for co-op gaming on a split screen, where each player doesn’t have to cram into a small cutout.

The equipment itself includes webOS with common streaming applications and the Magic Remote controller. However, the built-in sound is only 20 W in a stereo configuration. So, a huge picture does not automatically mean equally grand sound; separate audio here has a good reason, especially if the TV is truly meant to replace a small home cinema.

What the test showed and where the price is better

RTINGS tested a smaller 65-inch American version of the B6 series. They praise its deep blacks with no blooming around subtitles, wide viewing angles, and responsive gaming. Weaker points are reflections in a very bright room and visible stuttering of slow camera movements. This is not a direct test of the Czech diagonal sold here, but the conclusion is useful for room selection: this TV shines brightest when you turn off the lights around it.

How big of a TV would you still want to have at home?
