Top-tier camera phone for the price of a normal flagship! Vivo X300 Pro can be yours for just 21.5 thousand

The VIVO X300 Pro now costs 21,592 Kč with code ALZADNY20 instead of 26,990 Kč and is the version with 16 GB RAM and half-terabyte storage. It started selling here this year for 34,990 Kč, and my colleague Vašek praised it highly in his review; for similar money, you definitely won’t get better photos.

Two hundred megapixels in a telephoto lens is not a typo

Most phones give the highest resolution to the main sensor. Vivo has turned this around: the telephoto lens has 200 Mpx, specifically a periscope with a Samsung HPB sensor of 1/1.4″ size, 85 mm focal length, ZEISS APO certification, and CIPA 5.5 level stabilization. The image maintains the same color and detail throughout the zoom range, and the 110x zoom is even usable for reading road signs across a river.

The rest of the setup is consistent: a 50Mpx main sensor with f/1.57 aperture and gimbal stabilization, a 50Mpx wide-angle lens with autofocus, and now also a 50Mpx selfie camera with ZEISS optics and autofocus. All lenses bear the ZEISS brand, including the T* coating, which suppresses reflections.

Excellent performance and IP69 durability

Inside works the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, the same flagship chip as in the Xiaomi 17T Pro, supplemented by Vivo’s own image chips, which handle photo processing.

The display is a 6.78″ AMOLED with 2800 × 1260 resolution and 120 Hz, plus PWM dimming at 2,160 Hz, which saves eyes when reading at night. Durability is above standard – IP68 and IP69, meaning including pressurized water – and the Diamond Armor glass reportedly has 110% higher drop resistance. A new feature is also wet hand control.

What to watch out for

The main criticism is consistent across reviews: the wide-angle lens has a narrower field of view than competitors. While other phones offer 0.5×, here it’s 0.6× – in practice, this means less scene fits into a single shot.

The second note concerns the software: the phone runs on OriginOS, which Vivo deployed outside China for the first time. Reviewers rate it as a modern and swift step forward compared to the older Funtouch OS, but if you are used to pure Android, expect a different control logic.

For anyone who shoots long-distance and wants something in their pocket that approaches a DSLR with a telephoto lens, this is one of the most interesting phones of the year at 21,592 Kč.
