In March, Xiaomi introduced five new electric scooters to the Czech market. The range is designed so that almost everyone can find a model suitable for their riding style and individual needs – the basic model starts at 8,199 crowns, and the top-tier Ultra model costs 19,999 CZK. For riders who use the scooter for trips on out-of-town roads, where high performance comes in handy when going uphill, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max model is perfect. Unlike the Ultra model, in its case, you don’t pay extra for off-road equipment, but at the same time, you don’t lose out on a powerful motor, a color display, or front and rear suspension. It costs 16,499 CZK and will come with a free fast charger.

Long Range for Out-of-Town Trips

Anyone who commutes just a few kilometers to work on an electric scooter probably doesn’t need a range in the higher tens of kilometers. On the other hand, if you want to go for a ride on the weekend and clear your head a bit, a scooter with a range of around 40 km probably won’t be enough. However, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max boasts a range of up to 70 km, thanks to its 10Ah/468Wh battery.

Xiaomi, of course, exaggerates a bit in this regard, because to actually travel 70 km without stopping to charge, you would have to ride at a speed of only 15 km/h, and that too under ideal conditions. At a maximum speed of 25 km/h, the manufacturer states a range of at most 45 km. But the point here is that scooters that claim a maximum range of 40 km or a similar value calculate this ideal state in exactly the same way, and thus in practice travel much less at maximum speed. And it is precisely with this in mind that buying the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max makes sense.

Furthermore, the charging process itself for the Max model doesn’t take too long; with the Xiaomi Electric Scooter Fast Charger 2, we’re talking about less than three hours. While it is sold separately for 1,499 CZK, Xiaomi is preparing a promotion where you will receive it for free when purchasing the scooter.

Practical, Elegant Design and High Performance

The top-tier Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Ultra looks like an absolute monster, but the Max model still retains a touch of elegance. The black design doesn’t attract too much attention, yet it is sophisticated. The scooter boasts a sufficiently wide platform for comfortable foot placement, a frame with a low center of gravity that can carry up to 130 kg, ergonomic handlebars, and most importantly, front and rear suspension.

The 1,100 W motor powering the rear wheel can handle climbs on hills with a gradient of up to 24%. Xiaomi also mentions smooth acceleration. An important part of the equipment is also the TCS system, which uses algorithms to regulate vehicle traction, thereby ensuring greater stability on uneven and slippery surfaces.

Display and Smart Features

Another advantage of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max is its integrated 3-inch TFT display with color display capability. Through it, you can control scooter settings, monitor current ride information including speed and estimated range, or check the charging status.

The scooter can, of course, be connected to the Xiaomi Home mobile application, where you gain access to additional features, including motor lock. From your phone, you can also monitor vehicle data and status or update firmware. A welcome new feature is support for the Apple Find My network for location tracking.
