The successor to the popular fitness tracker Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro has been awaited for many months. While the basic Smart Band 10 arrived last summer, the improved Pro variant is still waiting in vain for its premiere. According to a new leak from the well-known Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, we could finally see it this month.

Five colors and a ceramic surprise

Digital Chat Station revealed on the Chinese social network Weibo that the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro is expected to appear in five color variants. Specifically, these will be black, white, silver, orange, and pink. However, the real attraction will be the sixth variant with a white ceramic construction. A similar variant was also available for the basic Smart Band 10 and even reached our market.

Higher weight as a price for a premium feel

The standard version of the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro should weigh under 40 grams, while the ceramic version is expected to weigh over 50 grams. For comparison, its predecessor, the Smart Band 9 Pro, was noticeably lighter at just 24.5 grams. The leaker attributes this difference to more robust craftsmanship, possibly a larger battery, or additional features, but specific details are still missing.

What exactly the new device will offer in addition to last year’s Band 9 Pro, which boasted a 1.74″ AMOLED display and up to 21 days of battery life, we don’t know yet. There are speculations about an improved design, or modifications in the display or health features. However, until Xiaomi officially confirms anything, these will remain mere conjectures.

Joint unveiling with Xiaomi 17T?

The timing is noteworthy. If leaker Digital Chat Station is correct, we could see the band’s premiere alongside the unveiling of the Xiaomi 17T smartphones, which are expected to arrive four months earlier this year, specifically in May.
