Crumbs under the seat, sand in the carpets, and dust in the ventilation grilles. Anyone with a car knows the struggle. Xiaomi is now introducing a lightweight foldable helper that can be folded and stored in the door compartment. The Mijia Car Vacuum Cleaner Portable offers suction over 20,000 Pa and, with a full set of attachments, will cost less than six hundred.

Foldable Body and 20,000 Pa Suction

The main novelty compared to August’s Mijia car vacuum cleaner is a joint in the middle of the body. The folded vacuum cleaner takes up little space; when unfolded, it becomes a long, narrow tube with which you can reach under seats or into the back of the trunk without bending. It weighs 446 grams in total, so you can easily hold it in one hand.

Inside, a 35mm brushless motor operates, which, according to ITHome, spins up to 150,000 revolutions per minute. Xiaomi promises suction over 20,000 Pa, with a fully charged battery in strong mode. The August model claimed slightly more on paper, specifically 23,000 Pa.

Dust is separated from the air by centrifugal force, so the filter doesn’t clog as quickly. You can pull out the cyclone part from the vacuum cleaner in one piece and empty it without having to pick out the dust by hand. Both the cyclone and the filter can be washed with water. However, according to MyDrivers, you must then let them dry for 24 hours, and Xiaomi recommends changing the filter approximately every three months.

Five Attachments and up to 40 Minutes of Battery Life

In the package, you’ll find a crevice tool for gaps between seats, a fine brush for the dashboard, ventilation grilles, or keyboard, and a wide nozzle with an electrostatic strip for larger surfaces. The fourth attachment switches the vacuum cleaner to blowing mode, allowing you to remove dust even from cup holders. The fifth one serves for inflating swimming rings and other inflatable toys.

Three 2,500 mAh cells provide power. In economy mode, it lasts up to 40 minutes according to the manufacturer, and 16 minutes in strong mode. It charges via USB-C with 22.5 W power, so a standard phone charger is sufficient.

Price Under 600 CZK, Only in China So Far

As part of crowdfunding on the Xiaomi Youpin e-shop, the vacuum cleaner costs 189 yuan, which is approximately 590 CZK. The regular price is expected to be 269 yuan, or about 830 CZK. It is not yet planned for release outside of China.

Would you get a car vacuum cleaner that can also inflate a swimming ring?
