Premium robotic vacuum cleaners with self-washing and drying mops usually cost over 20 thousand. However, you can now buy the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra with code ALZADNY15 for 13,769 CZK instead of the original 16,199 CZK. Given that it cost 22,499 CZK upon its market launch, this represents a drop of over 8,700 CZK in less than a year.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want a premium robotic vacuum cleaner with fully autonomous maintenance — hot water mop washing, automatic emptying, detergent dispensing.
⚠️ Consider if you have a small apartment with minimal carpets — in such a case, a cheaper model without an advanced station will suffice.
💡 For 13,769 CZK, you get features that until recently belonged exclusively to the over 20 thousand category.

Why this vacuum cleaner is interesting

The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra belongs to the category of fully autonomous robotic vacuum cleaners — meaning the PowerDock station handles most of the maintenance for you. It automatically empties the dustbin, refills water, dispenses detergent, washes the mopping brushes with hot water at 75 °C, and then dries them with warm air. In practice, this means you don’t have to approach the vacuum cleaner for several weeks.

The price development of this model is a reason for attention in itself. From an introductory price of 22,499 CZK, it dropped to 13,769 CZK in less than a year — a 39% decrease. At the same time, it has sold 500+ units with zero reported defects, which is not a given for robotics of this class.

Suction, brushes, and hair management

The suction power of 19,000 Pa ranks the L40s Pro Ultra among the most powerful robots on the market. For comparison: common models in the 5–8 thousand price range offer 4,000–8,000 Pa. The HyperStream DuoBrush is designed to eliminate hair tangles — the manufacturer states 100% untangling of hair up to 30 cm long. If you have long-haired pets, this is a crucial feature.

The vacuum cleaner can also overcome thresholds up to 4 cm high (for two-layer thresholds), or 2.2 cm for single-layer ones. This is important if you have higher thresholds in doorways or transitions between floors that most robots cannot overcome. The EasyLeap system uses four wheels and can handle wet or slippery surfaces.

The L40s Pro Ultra uses a combination of an AI RGB camera, dual laser, and 3D structured light. Thanks to this, it recognizes over 100 types of obstacles — cables, socks, pet bowls, children’s toys. One user mentions in a review that “it can recognize over a hundred obstacles, which it displays on the map after cleaning, so you know why it didn’t clean a spot.”

The vacuum cleaner also has integrated LED lighting, which helps it navigate in poor lighting conditions. The built-in camera allows you to monitor your home remotely via the app — useful if you want to check on your dog or cat when you’re not home.

Mopping and carpet handling

The mopping section is where this model truly shines. The mopping pads extend by up to 4 cm (MopExtend feature), allowing the vacuum cleaner to clean right up to wall edges and into corners. If the system detects a short-pile carpet, the mops lift by 10.5 mm, and CarpetBoost is activated for maximum suction power.

For high-pile carpets, the vacuum cleaner does something most competitors cannot: the mopping brushes completely detach and remain in the docking station. The vacuum cleaner then only vacuums without the risk of unnecessarily wetting the carpet. One user in a review appreciates this: “It can even handle very high-pile carpets.”

PowerDock Station: what it can do

The multifunctional station is why this vacuum cleaner costs more than basic models. It automatically empties the dustbin into a 3.2-liter bag, which, according to the manufacturer, lasts up to 100 days without replacement. It refills clean water (4.5 L tank) and drains dirty water (4 L tank). It dispenses cleaning solution automatically according to the surface type.

However, the most important feature is the hot water mop washing at 75 °C and subsequent warm air drying. This prevents mold and odor from damp mops — a typical problem with cheaper robots. The station also has an integrated descaler, which extends the lifespan of the heating element.

What users say

On Alza, the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra has a rating of 4.9 out of 5 (30 ratings), 97% of customers recommend the product, and over 500 units have been sold with zero reported defects. Users most often praise the app in Czech, reliable navigation, quality of vacuuming and mopping, and the fact that the vacuum cleaner handles high thresholds without issue.

Specific quotes from reviews: “In 60 minutes, it can vacuum and mop a 60 m² apartment, and the clean water tank lasts for 2 cycles.” Another user: “I switched from iRobot, and my jaw dropped at the progress the vacuum cleaner segment has made.” Pet owners repeatedly mention that the vacuum cleaner works flawlessly with cats and dogs — it avoids them and sends you short GIFs in the app.

Critical voices mainly appear regarding details. One user mentions that the suction sometimes gets stuck and water can accumulate in the station. Another user, for the white variant, reports a missing Czech manual. Users also point out that the dimensions of the docking station are larger than they appear in photos — 34 × 45.7 × 59.1 cm, which needs to be considered when choosing a location.

When it doesn’t make sense

If you have a small apartment up to 40 m² without carpets, an advanced station with mop washing is probably an unnecessary luxury for you. In such a case, a basic robotic vacuum cleaner for 5–8 thousand will suffice — for example, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20, which costs 8,999 CZK and is sufficient for basic cleaning.

Also, if you don’t have space for a bulky docking station, this needs to be considered. The station needs space not only for itself but also for the ramp. And if you are looking for the latest Dreame model with camera recognition and even smarter navigation, opt for the X50 or X60 series — but these cost 8–20 thousand more.

Verdict: who it’s worth it for

For 13,769 CZK, you get a robotic vacuum cleaner that cost 22,499 CZK upon its release. The combination of 19,000 Pa suction, a fully autonomous hot water station, retractable mops, and threshold handling up to 4 cm makes the L40s Pro Ultra a very interesting choice for households where you truly want convenience — not just “a bit of a robot.” Especially if you have a combination of floors and carpets and pets.

If this particular model didn’t appeal to you, but you’re looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner on sale, you can also check out the current Alza Days, where other discounted models from Dreame, Roborock, and Xiaomi regularly appear.

Do you already have a robotic vacuum cleaner at home, or are you still hesitating?
