Galaxy S26 FE embarrasses more expensive model in one discipline. Leak also revealed price Home News UL Demko certification confirms that Galaxy S26 FE will stick with 45W wired charging – same as last year's model Paradoxically, the cheaper FE charges faster than the base Galaxy S26, which only supports 25W Besides charging, an Exynos 2500 chip and a redesigned camera module are expected, with the price to be tens of euros higher Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 31. 7. 2026 08:30 Advertisement Samsung evidently does not intend to change the winning formula for the upcoming Galaxy S26 FE. Certification at the Danish UL Demko office, where several model numbers for the phone appeared, lists charging parameters of 15V/3A and 10V/4.5A – which translates to the same 45 W as the previous generation. Cheaper FE embarrasses its own older brother Exynos instead of a big leap New color, higher price Cheaper FE embarrasses its own older brother The speed itself isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s interesting in the context of Samsung’s portfolio. The company has kept the base Galaxy S2x (including S26) at 25 W for years, while the cheaper Fan Edition series received 45 W for the first time last year with the S25 FE model – and it seems it will remain the same this year. The result is somewhat absurd: a phone designed for budget-conscious buyers technically outperforms a more expensive base model of the same brand in one specific discipline. Most competing manufacturers, however, provide higher performance for their flagships. Exynos instead of a big leap The rest of the features, according to earlier leaks, suggest refinement rather than revolution. An Exynos 2500 chip and cameras in a similar configuration as before are expected, but with a redesigned rear camera island that should visually bring the phone closer to the more expensive Galaxy S26 series. Samsung is clearly betting here that FE customers buy primarily for the price/performance ratio, not for technological firsts. New color, higher price A fresh leak from the French server Dealabs also revealed what the phone might look like and how much it will cost. In addition to the familiar Graphite and Aqua Green shades, a bluish-purple variant is expected to appear, with the launch anticipated around September 1st. Prices in France are rumored to be 799 euros (slightly over 19 thousand Czech crowns) for the base 128GB version, 899 euros for 256 GB, and 1,099 euros for the top 512GB model – meaning 50 to 170 euros more than last year’s S25 FE. The price increase is not surprising given how memory prices are rising across the entire market this year. Would it seem more logical to you if the flagship received 45W charging first, and not the “cheaper” Fan Edition?
