We wrote about this power bank recently when it arrived at Alza as a new product – and now we see it on sale for the very first time. The ChoeTech PD22.5w with a 50,000 mAh capacity now costs 674 CZK instead of 899 CZK with code ALZADNY25, which makes it an ideal piece of accessory for long trips. It can recharge your phone many times, and moreover, it can charge multiple devices simultaneously.

Quick summary:
It makes sense as a large energy reserve for a festival, camping, cottage, or car, or as a home backup during an outage.
⚠️ Consider that due to its 185 Wh capacity, you cannot take it on a plane, and with a weight of over a kilogram, you carry it in a backpack, not in your pocket.
💡 For 674 CZK, it’s one of the most cost-effective ways to get 50,000 mAh, plus it has a low complaint rate of 0.5%.

Why this power bank is interesting

The main attraction is the 50,000 mAh capacity, which makes the ChoeTech power bank more of a travel energy reservoir than a pocket accessory. It offers three outputs (2× USB-A and 1× USB-C), so you can charge up to three devices at once – for example, a phone, headphones, and a tablet without swapping cables. It also features an LED display with an accurate percentage, USB-C input, a strap, and a set of protections against overvoltage, overload, and overheating. In reality, you can recharge an average phone about 6.5× from it – not ten, as simple math might suggest, because some energy is lost due to voltage conversion. And all this now for 674 CZK.

What to watch out for

Large capacity also comes with its compromises. The most important is air travel: with 185 Wh, the power bank exceeds the 160 Wh limit, so you cannot take it on personal air transport at all – neither in carry-on nor checked luggage (rules are also likely to become stricter in 2026). The second compromise is power: a total of 22.5 W, only 20 W via USB-C, which is sufficient for regular phone charging, but not for fast charging modern flagships or laptops. Also, expect a weight of over 1 kg and that charging the power bank itself will take eight or more hours. Furthermore, the battery has a 6-month lifespan as a consumable, although the product warranty is 24 months.

Verdict: who it’s worth it for

For 674 CZK with code ALZADNY25, the ChoeTech PD22.5w is hard to beat if you want maximum energy for the least amount of money and know that you will leave it at home, in the car, or take it on road trips. Compared to the usual 899 CZK, you save 225 CZK. Don’t go for it if you fly often, want to fast-charge a flagship phone at its full power, or charge a laptop – smaller 20,000mAh models with 100W output are more suitable for that. But for anyone purely looking for the most charges for a few hundred crowns, the 50,000 mAh for 674 CZK is a good purchase.

If this power bank didn’t interest you, but you’re looking for charging or accessories on sale, check out the current Alza Days, where other discounted power banks, chargers, and cables regularly appear. The offer changes continuously based on stock.

Would you take such a large power bank, or is a smaller, lighter pocket-sized model enough for you?
