JBL Tour One M3 headphones discounted by thousands! Last up to 70 hours and feature adaptive ANC

For anyone looking for large noise-cancelling headphones for long train or plane journeys, Alza has just significantly simplified the decision-making process. The JBL Tour One M3 are priced at 4 590 Kč as part of Black Friday, which is almost half off compared to last November. They boast excellent battery life and adaptive noise cancellation.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense if you travel a lot or work in a noisy environment and don’t want to charge your headphones every day.
⚠️ Consider whether the touch controls on the earcup and the weight of 278 grams suit you.
💡 For 4 590 Kč you get features that cost almost 9 thousand last year.

New price is well below the previous promotion

The discount is not just against last year’s price. During the last promotion, which ended in late October, the Tour One M3 sold for 7 420 Kč, so now you save an additional 2 830 Kč (38%). According to Hlídač Shopů, the headphones have not been this cheap at all during the entire year it has been tracking prices on Alza. The current price is valid from October 30th. Compared to last November, when the headphones launched with a price tag of 8 790 Kč, it’s a discount of 4 200 Kč, or almost 48%.

Adaptive ANC with eight microphones and up to 40 hours of listening even with it

At their core are 40mm dynamic drivers and noise cancellation, which JBL calls True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0. Eight microphones detect ambient noise, and the level of attenuation adapts to the environment in real-time, according to the manufacturer. If you need to hear announcements at the station, Smart Ambient mode lets in ambient sounds without you having to turn off your music.

Battery life is a strong point. JBL promises up to 70 hours without ANC and 40 hours with noise cancellation enabled; a five-minute charge should provide another five hours of listening. Even with noise cancellation, they last approximately five eight-hour workdays. An additional feature is JBL Spatial Sound with head-tracking, which is especially useful for movies and TV series.

LDAC codec will be appreciated mainly by Android owners

The headphones support SBC, AAC, LC3, and LDAC codecs. LDAC transmits high-resolution audio over Bluetooth, but you can only use it with a phone that supports it. This includes most Android phones, but iPhones do not support LDAC and play via AAC. Windows also doesn’t offer it without additional drivers, which one customer complains about in a review on Alza.

For those who want to listen without compression, the headphones can be connected via a USB-C cable. JBL states that in this case, the built-in converter (DAC) will provide lossless audio, but the source device must be able to send audio via USB. A classic 3.5mm jack is also available, and both cables are included in the package along with a carrying case.

Practical features include simultaneous connection to two devices, Fast Pair with Android, and Auracast reception. One thing to know beforehand: this version does not include the Smart Tx transmitter with a touchscreen display, which JBL sells with the Tour One M3 in a more expensive set.

Customers praise comfort, reservations target touch controls

On Alza, the headphones have a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 21 customers, and 86% of them recommend them. Over 200 units have been sold, with Alza reporting a return rate of 4.42%. Written reviews most frequently praise comfort (earcups accommodate even larger ears), effective ANC, and long battery life.

There are fewer reservations, but they are specific. Some people complain about the touch controls on the earcup, which can be easily activated by mistake and leave fingerprints. One customer points out that you might sweat in the earcups during sports or in summer. Occasionally, there is creaking when moving the head, an app that doesn’t remember spatial sound settings, and the JBL Headphones app is not yet available in Czech.

For travel, they are a very strong choice at this price

Anyone who travels a lot, flies, or works in an open-plan office will get for 4 590 Kč headphones with adaptive ANC, battery life of around 40 hours even with noise cancellation enabled, and support for high-quality codecs. Android owners will benefit most from LDAC, while iPhone users will miss out on the high-resolution codec, but the rest of the features will still work for them.

It’s worth looking elsewhere if you primarily want headphones for running or the gym. Lighter earbuds, in which you won’t sweat as much, are more suitable there.
